FYI, I am working on music posting in members profiles.

I have the administration end (the part Noize and I use that members never see) for music posting. The only option for now will be to link to remote media files from you own website or web space or linking to a page of your website with your music on it. No uploading to our servers will be allowed...yet...if we get enough traffic and such I may add that later, I want to see how much it is used first.

Hopefully by the beginning or middle of next week this will be completed and launched.

having the upload option would be mega useful, especially for people like me who havent got the skills to get a website together.

having said that, i would imagine it'd be a pain for you to do...

Not really as much of a pain as it would be a drain on my bandwidth. It's easy to build, and I have the server space, the bandwidth is what would cost much more.

And actually, if you find the right host, you wouldn't even need to build a website, just need a place to upload your files to.

I will try to find a few places that would work for people and have links to them to try and make it easier for our members when I launch the piece...I do understand your situation. I am going to try to make this as easy as I can for all members of the community without putting a resource load on the website that I can't support.

I am very close to launching this piece, but first, I would like to ask people if anyone knows of good places to upload their files to link into from here, I have GeoCities, Tripod and Angelfire, but Fuzzball informed me that Angelfire does not allow direct links, only links to webpages, which would still work but not as pretty.

Any comments or input.

mp3.com blows, if I had the server resources I would make one of those myself.

On the form page I list some places that you can upload to, or, just do a search for "free webspace" or something like that and you'll find something.
