Hi there, i just started to record guitar today. Im using cubase LE, not the best but good enough.
heres by chain:
Amp> 2 condensors mics>Mixer>Aux send>Compressor> Pc in L + R.
Im gettin a signal in my pc and can record quietly, but as soon as it gets louder, but nowhere near clipping or peaking, i start to hear pops and clicks.
i feel this is either due to my slightly longer leads being coiled up or just really bad compressor settings.
Thanks for looking, hope you can help me!!

Mar 05, 2006 05:38 am Ok, although i thought latency was just a delay? I think i have a buffer of 2, should i increase this then?
Also, would it cause this by recording in 24bit as I am currently?
Thankyou

Mar 05, 2006 08:57 am latency is the delay necessary for the computer to complete processing the signal.
you can try increasing the 2 to 4... there should be another value laong the lines of 128, 256, 512, or 1024... that is probably what should be adjusted... sometimes the recording software will have a slider in an audio options menu to make these adjustments easier... I'm not sure if cubase does...
