Hey Gang, just an FYI, Noizes2u's father in law is nearing the end, he called me last night, audibly upset telling me where he was and what was going down.
His father in law has been more of a father to him than his real dad on most occasions, it's rough on the whole family.
He had been ill for a while and has really stuck it out but it appears things are taking a bad turn.
So, if you guys and gals happen to be talking to God, toss in a good word for the guy that has helped us all so much over the years, and his wife and kids. They are going through a pretty tough time.
I wasn't sure if I was going to say anything, but when I saw he wasn't online at all last night I figured I should let peeps know something.

Sep 25, 2007 09:27 am BH, I couldn't help but chuckle after reading your post, then glancing at your avatar. I'm sure Noize will appreciate that too.
Laughter is- and always will be- the best medicine.
Sep 25, 2007 09:33 am Ya know, my dad and I were just talking about that "best medicine" type of thing.
I am thinking about getting my dog licensed to go to hospitals, nursing homes and such cuz she is such a gentle, though big, dog. I just need one more obedience class and the test afterwards to do so.
I told dad, if I am laying on the floor, all crabby or upset about something, it is so incredibly hard to stay crabby or upset when a dog comes up and licks your face with her tail wagging wanting to play...
Great mental medicine.
I do agree tho, the avatar is awesome.

Sep 26, 2007 11:02 am Man, I actually met Noize's father in law briefly this summer. He seemed like a tough old codger that wasn't gonna let death take him without a fight. But alas, all things come to an end, and death is a part of this crazy thing we call life...
I'm saying a prayer for you and your father in law as I type this Noize. Stay strong!
Sep 27, 2007 02:33 pm All the best to you Noize,we all are thinking about you at this difficult time.
Sep 27, 2007 03:37 pm Prayers to Noize and his family right now during this stressful time...

Sep 27, 2007 10:01 pm Thanx a bunch guys. This really means a lot to me to see you all.
Just an update. We thought it was about over last night, but he is still hanging on. Waiting for someone of something I think, but I don't know what. As some already know this has been going on since Jan. and steadily gotten worse. He is slipping in and out of a semi coma state now and hasn't been able to eat or drink for 5 days. It was his wish to not be hooked up to life support and be at home. The boyz are dealing with it pretty well but they know this is killing me.
As dB stated he was more fatherly like then my real father, always there to support me whatever it was as well as the boyz and Mary. Now it is tearing me apart to see him like this. The one thing I have to say is he was more like a best friend, and that is the hardest part.
And indeed the comment about laughter is indeed great. And this place supplies that at times when I need it most lately.
And hell ya BH, that is a killer avatar.

Sep 30, 2007 12:29 pm Many thanx again guys.
I'm praying now that this is over soon. I don't think the family can deal with many more nights waiting sleeplessly for him to pass. And Mary I think is hoping the same. Her and I and the boyz have been there as a constant and I know that it is starting to get to everyone. I just hope mom is ready for this, which I think she is.
Oct 01, 2007 05:26 am Update guys.
Ray passed away last night, Noize may be gone for a few days. Pray for the family for comfort in this hard time.
God Bless.

Oct 01, 2007 08:07 pm Herb, you seem to make me chuckle even at the times I truly don't feel much like chuckling. Thanx for that.
And many thanx for the well wishes guys! Bleak, BH, the music meant more then you can imagine. This place is about the music and thats why I am here. And you have made this a little easier on the boyz and I with your wonderful creations.
dB, a special thanx to you as well for being an ear and a friend when I just need to ramble for a minute.
Blessings to you all.

Keep you're head up mate.
Oct 02, 2007 06:01 am My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. His strength is sufficient to see you through this. Rest in it.

Dude, you are one of the rare, few, real friends I have. When I was talking to my daughter a few days ago about what a "real" friend is (you know that parental conversation I am sure), you were the example I used in the conversation.
If there is ANYTHING you need, just tell me, my family and I are there for you.
But you know that...

Oct 02, 2007 12:40 pm Thanx Rob, Red Tree has not left the car player for 3 days now. The boyz and I just get in and drive slow. You know I've stated it before that the FOE and VC disc's have always been there when we needed the music. Just enough hard rock to keep our heads up, but a spiritual feeling that makes one take note of life's pleasant things.
dB, that is the same scenario here as well, always has been and the boyz agree. True friends are hard to come by, and that you have been.
Thanx again guy's. And those I haven't mentioned, you know who you are so thanx to you as well.
Oct 02, 2007 01:38 pm Sorry this is a little late, but I just noticed this thread. I only get on the net very seldom lately it seems. My deepest sympathies Noize to you and and your family in this time of mourning. Words mean very little in a time like this but know I'm thinking of you.

Oct 03, 2007 10:45 pm Noize, when my mother died I tripped for two years, literally, on LSD. I went from her death, to my death, to the death of society, to the death of the world, to the death of the universe. It was a long and hard journey. I wish you the best. Just be with your friends.
Oct 04, 2007 03:41 am ....i have no idea what to say...sorry for your and your family's loss.
