Dec 17, 2004 08:03 pm M-Audio Delta 44, and I absolutely love it.
Dec 17, 2004 08:03 pm I have an E-MU 0404, and so far I like it. The PatchMix software that came with it is a bit too confusing for my tiny brain, but I like the results that I'm getting.
Dec 17, 2004 08:49 pm ESI Juli@ and it rocks da house. Had an Audiophile 2496 and it was good to, but the Juli@ has lower ASIO by 50% and WAY better WDM drivers...

Dec 17, 2004 10:23 pm audiophile 2496. i guess it's pretty good from what people say but i have nothing to judge it against.
Dec 18, 2004 12:46 am Aardvark Q10...don't know any others...for a beginner...easy to install and use straight out of the box...no problems to report.

Dec 18, 2004 03:32 am Terratec EWS88MT, no complains about it, german quality as we say here. I use it for recording. And other is external usb Tascam us122. This one is not the one I can praise, it always seems that it operates on the edge of it's strenght. I use it almost only for playback while mixing, because it has line out and phones knobs. I would not suggest to have it as the main card for recording.

Dec 18, 2004 06:38 am M-audio Delta 1010lt (great for the $$ and then some) M-audio Audiophile 24/96(great first card have had it for a few years and it works fine) , M_audio Duo (alright for USB recording plus it has preamps). I just got the Omega from Lexicon and it works well with my laptop for recording live shows .

Dec 18, 2004 08:29 am Aardvark Q10 ...apparently Aardvark has gone out of business in the past month... so when I get a webserver going again in the next few weeks I'll make a support group page... so people can find drivers... hopefully it gets released under GPL...
It's been a great card... not just saying that out of nostalgia :) Very durable (left it in a fileing cabnet in the rain on the back of a truck for three months) After talking with some of the techs it apparently was easially upgradable to higher sampling rates...
If it's released on GPL and someone comes out with a mod to bring up the sampling rate I would buy a bunch of discounted ones... but... the lesson learned is to never buy a card that hasn't already gone GPL... so I'll probably get a M Audio one as practically all of their cards have ALSA support.

Dec 18, 2004 09:59 am Geez, can't go onto Aardvark. Looks like they might have gone out of business! That totally sucks!
M-Audio 1010 - Can't go wrong with M-Audio it seems like
Aardvark 20/20+ - Outs don't work but it does the good with the inputs. It's decent.

Dec 18, 2004 11:24 am audiophile 2496 - once i learnt how to set my equipment up with it properly, it does the job no problems.
am i right that i would need a different soundcard to record multiple intstruments at once onto seperate tracks in cubase se?

Dec 18, 2004 07:03 pm Delta 66. Sounds clean to me, but I have yet to try the digital I/O.
Dec 21, 2004 11:16 pm Delta-66. Once I got XP sorted, it is great.
I recently picked up a pair of Roland DS-30A monitors (with built-in SP/DIF). Use the Delta digital out to feed the monitors and still have 4 analogue outs! Excellent.
