Feb 01, 2004 11:44 am how about mykungfu for being like, the only person to get banned last year. that's hard work.
Feb 01, 2004 12:33 pm Actually at least two were banned, there was also a dude that managed to get banned in one day. I think that happened during your hiatus...

Feb 01, 2004 12:51 pm I'd give one to olddog for best song listener.
Feb 01, 2004 12:53 pm I'd give one to myself for being the youngest of all you oldies...:D
Feb 01, 2004 01:33 pm I'd second both of the previous nominations.
And jues for being the most timely, accurate and and in-your-face-honest advice-giver-outer.

Feb 01, 2004 03:14 pm I'd say Tincan & Noize would have to be in the best song listeners category as well. :)
I'd give one to Flame for keeping everyone in suspense the longest, with the secret project. :)

Feb 01, 2004 10:47 pm Noise wins my "Mr. Congeniality"... most personable.
dB definately wins "Mr. persistant".
Most progress: That is tough. I just listened to Coolo, Mr. Muffins, and Flame; just a few that have went from simple single sound recordings to excelent pieces since I have been here.
I would have to go with Jues for most consice, consistant, and timely responses.
So many other catagories are impossible to choose a clear winner. Like most helpfull. Not possible.

Since the lineup has been completed a year ago, we just finished drums for the 10 song album.

Feb 02, 2004 08:15 pm Thanx Walt for the nomination, and OD as well. I do try to listen to them all it just takes me awhile sometimes.
I will agree with Walt on the Most Porgress catagory, that would be a tough one to judge.
I second the nomination's for jues by dB and the best avatar does go to strongbad for sure.
And I will nominate pixelpixie for the Treat this place like a Hotel award.
My original nomination will go to Tincan for Most Unique music posted or something along those lines.
And I nominate Loki for strangest relaxation away from music activity for his beating others into submision with a stick while dressed in strange garb.
I think we could safely nominate Flame as the first Brit to enter the site. This of course would have to be researched to be fair.
And as Walt said, way to many other catagories.

huh? I wasn't showing anyone anything other than that I assumed he was young, based on what I have seen of him...and hey, I was right. It's not my job to show anyone anything.

Thank you, thank you. I couldn't have done it without the help of some very special people... No, I'm not talking about my friends and family, hahaha... I'm talking about those voices in my head. Yes, thank you, voices in my head, for always providing me inspiration - whether it's writing bizarre music, washing my hands obsessively 50 times a day, or just stalking an exgirlfriend to make her love me, you were always there for me.

I'm just trying to figure out who Jamie was putting the blame on... That statement can be interperated with sarcasm or without. I'm not sure how you interperated it, dB!

Feb 03, 2004 02:24 pm to flametheband - for Highest Number of Posts Used to Express a Single Thought, Most Suspenseful Project Release AND Best Project
to dBMasters - for Most Amount of Experience with Entire Spectrum of Music Hardware/Software Ever Created, for Most Helpful Poster, and for Obsessively Tinkering with HRC Until its Magnificence Outshines the very Sun under which we Live out our Days
to Noize2U - for runnerup to Most Helpful Poster and the coveted Grizzled Old Dude Music Industry Veteran award (hey, you just won a dudie!)
to olddog - the Persistance of Time award for coming back to music after so many years off - most guys I know would just let it go forever, but you picked up right up again and are making some great music, man. Good for you. I mean that.
to Walt - goes the Incomprehensible Technical Resource, for having esoteric technical knowledge far surpassing my capacity to know what the heck you're talking about. If it's confusing and technical, he's got it covered.
to tonyd1975 - for Most Voluminous Body of Work Available Online, Most Soulful Acoustic Guitar, and for Most Often Drunk While Recording

I interpretted it as a shot at me based and personal history between Jamie and I and how he feels about how I handle certain situations. I dunno if you know this, but I am a little bit high-strung. :-D

Haha... I guess I have noticed that lately :)
The thumbs up on his post makes it look like he liked how you handled it, but I suppose that could be sarcasm too... In which case it's even more biting than I thought!

Feb 03, 2004 10:23 pm Yup, Tincan, thats me! The babbling professor in the corner complete with yoyo and propeller cap! And supprise....there's more mud inside!
Thanks!.....I think?
This is all too much fun. The pshcyo-emies! We need a theme song. One toke over the line? Journey to the center of the mind? Dark side of the moon? There's someone in my head but it's not me?

good call dB! Stressed? Have a beer instead of taking pop shots at the young'ns ;O)
Now for nominations for Most Helpful I must vote for both Noize2U and jues, for each possessing a degree of knowledge I've come to respect. Their perspectives alone have shown me so much, that I've simply been absorbing it as if by osmosis. I would have included TheRealWaldo in that list for setting me straight on the technical side of thingsa few times, but unfortunately he doens't post enough to have been any major contribution to my knowledge here.
For Most Bizarre and Obscure and Often Entirely Off-subject Posts I nominate Walt. I regularly have to read the man's sentences twice just to be sure he actually said what I think he just said! And even then I tend to devive a new interpretation leaving me to wonder just what the heck he meant! Hey, they say it's a fine line between genious and..
Feb 04, 2004 04:49 am dude, thats what I don't get...I didn't take any shots...I said I was not surprised that he was 14...that's not a shot. If I was to take a shot you'd know it. But I honestly don't have time or interest in taking shots.
Over the last few months it's been you taking shots at me when there is a least bit indication of me doing anything even in the realm of off-color or unnecessary, which I am growing very tired of. WTF?
Feb 04, 2004 05:15 am i guess i'd be best to start making use of them sCarcasm tags heh.
good morning dB!
Feb 04, 2004 05:18 am Good morning Jamie.
Yeah, I added those sCarcasm tags for a reason, ya know... :-)

Feb 04, 2004 10:39 pm Whoa, thanx Jamie. And good evening all!
I second, or is that third the nomination for Walt.
I would also like to nominate this thread for the best use of the quote tag.
And on that note, ther is another cold one calling my name.
