Song nominations?

let's have 'em!

For me, flame's Swan Vesta Blues comes to mind right away...The open letter to smokers is funny...and some FlipCycle HAS to be on it.

I know I'd like to see the log in the road song by Tincan and something by shredfit or his group. And definitely some Flipcycle. Also olddog has some cool songs I think would be good.

who else?

Noize2U's "Whole Lotta Love"
flametheband's (collab.) "Swan Vesta Blues"
dB Master's (collab.) "Just Another Junkie"
olddog's "Are You Gonna Be Around", new version
jues' "Swandive"

-------------

Open Letter, huh? Geez... Thanks for the nomination! :) I always thought the "Car Mojo" and "Wiggle & Twitch" blew that one out of the water, myself... thanks for the good word, man! (just fyi, the "low-fi" track problem as noted in the notes for "Melora My Love" is limited to the vocals only - I'd be happy to re-record them for a cd if that one gets any noms)

"Are You Gonna Be Around" I would second that, it's a cool tune with some poppy appeal as well.

I like a tune by coolo that has a lyric something like "if your eyes are open you still want see when you're hit in the back" or something similar...my CD doesn't have song titles, so I dunno what one that is...

Noizes Whole Lotta Love might have copyright issues...I think we should keep it original...even tho it IS super cool.

"you could keep your eyes open, but you're never gonna see what could hit you in the back"

that's probably my favorite rap song that i've got so far, barring some stuff I'm working on.

yeah, thats it...it's a good tune, I like it, the other vocal commentating over the lyrics and stuff, very clever and cool tune.

I would love to see WLL on there as well, but as dB stated ther would be issues for sure. I promised TCbug I would get some of my other stuff up and will do so hopefully in the next week.

Ill come up with others but here are a couple of picks for now. I am with everyone on the OD tune Are You Gonna be Around new version. coolo's Hit you in the Back is good as well, but I like several others of his as well. He has one that is very classical sounding that just blows me away every time I listen called Caverture, it just moves along with subtle little changes. Allnight Greyhound trippn is kool as well as maroon lagoon. Oh ya, and Ode to my Monte Carlo.

for Flame its No cigs or All gone for me.

Ill think of more later.

Hey thanks for the nomination TCB!

Some I think would be cool.

Flames: Paris or All Gone
TCB: Car Mojo (Chunk of Wood)
Jues: Swandive
Gutterslinger: Trapped
dB: The Right Way and/or Just Another Junkie
There was one of Noize's, don't remember the name I'm gonna have to go listen again. :)

I'll bust out my guitar and write some stuff so that I can be nominated too... god knows I've nothing but time on my hands. :) look for a rough draft of a song in the next two weeks featuring me on guitar and keys :)

Well, honestly, if people are genuinely interested in doing this, I'm genuinely interested in making it happen by putting up the money. But, I think it will be perhaps June or July before I'm ready to go. But I am serious about doing this if everyone else is.

So, basically, I'm just saying keep it in mind and maybe we can all focus on creating tracks for the compilation over the next couple of months.

its kinda flattering when peopl argue over which of your songs is best...:-)

swandive is the HRC theme, as i see it...its on the intro and all that...

one of db's should be on there, not necessarily one with me singing on though...

i love noize's whole lotta love, so ill second that...

ill try and get the vocal for 'my generation' down today too - been meaning to do that for ages....

You can put my band's song, "Waiting for Words to Come" on there!
