Anybody here watch Time Warp on Discovery channel? 2 geeks + a couple of super slow-mo cameras = lots of fun.
This one is of a guy slamming his tongue in a rat trap. Wait for the side angle, its damn-right greusome!

Cool show but that guy was way out there. A professional masochist is how he referred to himself on the show.
But ya, that is kind of an ugly image. I'm not watching it again as it took 3 episodes of Drawn Together to get it out of my head.

Yeah the Jackass shows were funnier than I had expected them to be. Kind'a one of those things y'a start watching reluctantly, just 'cause it's on, and the next thing y'a know, you're amused.
Feb 06, 2009 11:57 am Fortunately these guys have a lot more class than the Jackass cast. There's a different goal at least. They try to tie in science to all of the bits that they do...whether they succeed or not is a different matter :)
They've had some pretty cool and interesting subject matter on the show so far. I'm not sure how long they can really keep the show fueled with cool stuff to watch in slo-mo though.
I agree Hue, same with me for Jackass. I hated the TV show (mostly due to its affiliation with MTV). But I was just red-faced from laughing at the first 2 movies. A few drinks and I enjoyed them way more than I thought I ever would.

Feb 06, 2009 08:25 pm Ya, Time-Warp is not all about the likes of that video at all. That just happened to be a bit on the absurd side for those guys and you could tell by the look on their faces during the show.
They have had some pretty cool stuff. The Cirque du Soleil one was pretty cool And the first juggler dude with the chain saws.
And the very first show with the hyper blender dude. That was pretty intense with the Bic lighter's in the blender.
Jack *** is an acquired taste, I as well have laughed my *** of each time I watch it.
