UFC 57 on Saturday, Liddell vs Couture 3 and lots of other great fights, already got the beer, munchies and PPV ready to roll...
Super Bowl on Sunday...while I don't want to see it, I do think the Hawks will beat the Steelers pretty handily...the more I think about it, the Hawks have the better chance, Bettis and co oare good but Alexander trumps them...I dunno, it'll be a battle (hopefully) but I think the hawks will win...sadly.

Feb 03, 2006 01:22 pm this weekend is so gonna rock! i'm starting off tonight with a special evening with close friends and poker, tommrow DBD is playin' a house party in nashville with two of our favorite local headbangin' bands, then sunday i've got band practice, then it's off to my home bar (which is reopening on sunday after beein' closed for 3 months) lotsa old friends and regulars gonna be there....some of my friends are way into UFC, and i can totally respect the F outta it, but to me it's a little to ummmm....gay, no offence meant really, but dudes in tights grabing eachother makes me a bit (insert Phil Valentine voice) uncomfortable....i can't seem to get into it. or maybe i'm just gay and have sexy thought's while watching hot, sweaty, ripped athletes groping for my honor....heh.

Feb 03, 2006 01:25 pm Well, as somebody who trains in Mixed Martial Arts I can honestly say gay is what you make of it in your head...I have fought in the gym often and never once had any sexual thought go thru my head, and I highly doubt any sexual thoughts go through their heads in the ring...
What it is really is two guys in tight shorts (so they are harder to get a hold of and not cumbersome, not to be "sexy") kickin the **** out of each other...it ain't sexual, it's survival...

Feb 03, 2006 02:03 pm I'm gonna be putting up more walls in my studio on saturday. Probably putzing with the new music PC on and off as well.
I might go out to the gun range on sunday, if it's nice out. Watching the SB usually doesn't hold my interest much.
On a cool side note, my 11 yr old son is now in the Junior Rifle Association with our local sportsman's club. It's a real kick, watching the little kids target shooting.

Course, I can't say no, as I've been catching up on my studio gear. So she's going to get started in an adult 22 pistol target shooting club thing. I told her I wanted to attend as well, but she told me I could, if I weren't staying home watching the kids that night =). Maybe I can work in studio those nights.
Oh well. If anyone breaks in to steal my stuff, she can shoot them =).
