Good song mate. I am very into your approach. Sounds very early Beck.

yes, this is a great song. especially the chord on 'you stayed invincible.' the bassline is addictive and i love that solo--is that a glass slide?

I downloaded this when you first posted, but just now remembered to listen to it. It's cool. I like the bass line that slides and the drum loop. And of course the "slide thing". I think I will agree and say I like this as the best Flame song yet.

Everybody should have at least 3 flame tunes on their playlist. I got em all and make anyone that comes hear listen to em. They usually want to know if he has a CD out. I chuckle a bit and say, soon, very soon.

Hi there.

This is my very first post here after just finding the site. I listened to Flame's music and thought this was as good a place as any to dive in.

Great original stuff, Flame. Beatles-meets-Dodgy, yet also vastly different.

The ssss's were a bit harsh in my earphones sometimes (in Paris, for example), but that seems to be the distinct sounds you're trying to get going on your vocals.

I also read the ntrack review with great delight, as i use that software.

Oh, great website btw. very pro-looking.

Ok, i'm off to listen to some other stuff here. Keep up the great work!

I think the most important thing when doing a collection of songs, be it an album or EP or whatever, is that your overall sound is consistent, and thats what ya did with the vocals, so full marks for that coz so many people work on a song-by-song basis.

i cant songs one by one - ive always got some kinda greater plan on the go...but some people go that way, and its cool

i tried to use the same drum samples throughout the ep too, as if i had a virtual kit that everything way played on. i cheated on lock/open though...

This upcoming rock project of my own is the firts time i've really thought about the "whole package" so to speak... my first 3 were more like compilations of my songs which i threw together, added artwork and a title when i had enough and then that was it. But it does feel good to have some vision, some common theme for it this time..

Keep up the great (unique) sound!

neuaddsibly, seems everybody likes flames stuff. I know I and many of my friends here as well as my 2 youngest sons really enjoy his stuff and like the vox as well. They say its differant and that is what makes him appealing to them.

I as well stopped by your site and had a quick look and listen. I will definately spend a bit more time looking and listening as well during the weekend. form what I did hear, you have some good stuff up. I liked the pics of you doing up your studio, that was a gas to look at.

Glad you joined in the fun here at HRC, and looking forward to hearing some of your stuff, and whatever you get up in the future.

Again, for sure check out the members music section as its full of differant stuff.

Sweet, I keep thinking about using my phone for logging in here, but I think I will wait till I get a bigger screen on the new one. I only gotta wait 4 more months till I can trade in without penalty.

I use Kyocera and have for years. They have the same kinda thing now that slides open and when its closed its pretty small. Big screen on it and all. Not sure if it has the memory card or not though. I am gonna have to check it and the Nokia out. Although I had 2 Nokias and they both got trashed within a couple of weeks. The Kyocera's have been under water, dropped from a crane, and just about run over without any ill effects.

Good song, Flame! The drum samples kinda overpower the other elements...I'd like to hear more vocals and acoustic guitar.

Keep 'em coming man!
