Dude!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will pay whatever it takes to get one of those pieces of vyinl!!!!!!!! I hate to say it like this, but he has one of those distinctive voices that just plane belongs on records. The work with Gorillaz is some of the best stuff around, better then BLur stuff of which I do like some. If you get your hands on one tell me where to send the cashiers cheque..

Your the only hope as I doubt any intact copies will make it to this side of the pond.

That's Geez, as in Geezer, which in the UK is some sort of compliment, unlike here in the US.

this would be fantastic to hear.

have any of you listened to the ravenous movie soundtrack? damon albarn collaborated with michael nyman on that one and it's one of my favorite soundtracks ever. all strange time signatures and odd instrumentation and scary, insane harmonies.

i dont like damon as a bloke...whenever i red an interview by him, or see him anywhere, he seems really protentious and stuck up

BUT

hes doing some mad stuff music wise...hes so creative and experimental with what he does...

Ravenous! What a cool movie that was... I was just thinking about renting that one the other day. I thought the score was weird, wild, and oddly fitting.

"Geezer" in the states means "elderly", but in a more derogatory way...kind of like "old fart" :-D

i just saw ron howard's 'the missing.' not bad. i went because it's one of my favorite movie genres: a western set in a snowy locale, with an element of the supernatural.

it did not compare to ravenous.

i implore you! buy the ravenous soundtrack for some of the oddest, most creative music you will find in a soundtrack! go albarn!

end screed.

OK Flame, here is the whole rundown for ya.

Geezer Butler:Bass player for Black Sabbath

Tony Iommi:Guitarist for Black Sabbath

Lita Ford:Lead guitarist for The Runnaways, also did Solo stuff, excellant guitarist in her own right. Also did a duet with Ozzy Osborne that was great.

Joan Jett:Guitarist for The Runnaways, also lead singer and guitarist for Joan Jett and the Black Hearts. I always thought she was tottally hot as well.

Ozzy Osborne:Lead singer for Black Sabbath, aslo bery well known solo dude. Has his own TV show, The Osbornes.

Black Sabbath:Well known heavy band from the late 60s, ealry seventies. Many bands today wish they were them.

The Runnaways:One of the first all girl power punk sort of bands of the seventies. Combining punk and the new wave of metal there live shows were some of the most unbelievable stuff I have ever wittnessed. The original line up included Joan on rythm guit, Lita on lead guit, Sandy West on drums, Cherie Currie singing the leads who quit and Joan took over the singing, and Jackie West on bass, later replace by Vicki Blue, who was replaced by Lita in the studio for their last recording, but got filled by Laurie McCallister who was Rod Stewarts keyboard players neighbor. I think I got em all in there.

They were best known for their days living in a houseboat on the Thames, and throwing huge allnight partys for every punk rocker in London. Needless to say, they are no more. Which is totally due to John Alcock who produced their vary last album, Little Girls Lost. (Which I own a rare copy of a vinyl picture disc of featuring Joan, Lita, Sandy and Vicki even though Vicki didnt really play on the album)

So ya think ya got it now Flame? Any questions just ask.

And Happy Thanksgiving.

Its kool. I have the patience of a saint, well sort of. Stuff like that is usually worth the wait though.

As for the Runaways, if I get some time I might get out the vinyl and pull a track off and post it for ya to listen to. I think you might like it, even if it is 20 years old or better now. I ws lucky and got to see them live twice and both shows were absolutely stupendace.
