My band going to Wapred Tour

Hey all, I forgot to mention something that happened a couple weeks back. We won a contest for an all expenses paid trip to play two shows on the warped tour in Washington (The Gorge) and Oregon. This is a big deal for us as 4 plane tickets out of alaska would cost near 2K.

The best part, our judges were Kevin Lyman (sp?) who is the owner of the warped tour and Page Hamilton who is the lead singer of Helmet. They gave us great props and it was awesome to hear positive comments from someone actually in the biz.

Anyway, here is a vid of the song they said won it for us. The audio is horrid (we didn't learn our camera mic has gain control until later) and distorted but the picture, crowd, lights and colors are pretty cool. We will probably overdub a studio track at a later time.

Last but not least, if anyone in Washington or Oregon plans on going to these shows during mid August we should correspond and plan on a way to meet. I never get to meet anyone from the sites I visit and it would be nice for once.

Tripps that is awesome!! Even better is the fact that I can probably go and see your performance! The Gorge is not far from my place.

Man, you guys are rocking out. Too bad you dont' have any actual trumpets and trombones for the track. Or angels or devil's for that matter. Congrats on winning the trip and the chance to play. That's awesome man.

Congrats here as well! Ain't it grand when a plan comes together. Oh yeah and I just love seeing some good finger style bass playing.

Tripps I do believe is the guitar player on the left in the black T-shirt.

And hell ya Tripps that is more then great. Huge congrats from me and the boyz. To bad you aren't going to make MN that would be friggin great. We usually get comp tickets every year and I've never had a real reason to go the last few years.

Cool video though by the way.

I'd really dig hearing that tune undistorted when you get that far.

Thanks guys.

The video as stated, is horrible sound quality but looks pretty good. We plan on overdubbing and editing things a bit, but I must first add my raid 0 setup so I can have seperate drives for 1) Windows Swap file 2) Video storage 3) Premiere scratch disks 4) Backup. Working with 1080p is a ***** once you start adding FX, fades, transitions.
