I find it presumptuous of you to assume that I have no interaction with living, breathing human beings.

I will take this limited experience, and extrapolate that your business model is one of presumptuousness as well.

I debated removing that post yesterday as spammy advertising, but, I like Waves (though they charge too much) and it seemed a good opportunity for people there so I left it...

But yeah, that opening tone was a mite condescending.

Eat Spam before it eats YOU!!!

... and I was so convinced DB and Noise were real and not robots... *sigh*

but Waves... I guess as long as they don't sell a digital cable shock absorber simulator plugin..

Yep, like Waves pluggin's, don't care much for Logic. But ya, Eddie is a good source of info. If he would only be doing it on a little better DAW I'd be more excited.

As excited as a handsome Android can get I guess. :-O

Haven't you heard Jed The Humanoid from Grandaddy?

Just replace instances of "Jed" with "dB Masters" or "Noize2u":

Last night something pretty bad happened.
We lost a friend,
All shocked and broken,
Shut down, exploded.

JED-E3 is what we first called him.
Then it was "Jed,"
But Jed's system's dead.
Therefore, so's Jed.

We assembled him in the Kitchen,
Made out of this and
Made out of that and
Whatever was at hand.

When we finished Jed we were so proud.
We celebrated,
Congratulated,
At what we'd created.

Jed could run or walk, sing or talk, and
Compile thoughts, and
Solve lots of problems.
We learned so much from him.

A couple years went by and something happened.
We gave Jed less attention.
We had new inventions.
We left for a convention.

Jed had found our booze and drank every drop.
He fizzled and popped,
He rattled and knocked,
Finally he just stopped.

LOL!

No that song didn't pop up in my mind. I'm just a noob here and that may explain why I still have some faith left in people. ;-)

I think most here still have faith in people. Most members here are very kind and here to help when they can. Some come and some go. But there is a pretty good sized handful that have been here a long time.

Believe it or not HRC actually started in a very basic almost BBS type form while this kind of geeky musician type dude learned to write code. And he suckered this other geeky musician type guy into experimenting with him on it, or I should say answering all the questions that were coming from all over the place. It almost shut down once until a sudden surge in members that wanted to actually help jumped up and asked to please not close the happy place.

And now its here and full of great people who just seem to like to help others and simply enjoy some musical company. And even some off the wall topics as well.

So from me to you, enjoy your stay.

thats true, with so many other sites they are all cranky like.
What's the point in even going online if ya gonna try and ramp yourself up by being a P****?

Alot of sites you will NEVER get an answer to your question, who know's why, i guess ya gotta be in the "IN" crowd or something.

Here is great, almost no hassels ( i wont mention any names) and good friendly communication. I awlays like coming here.

Ya know, I just noticed that dB and I have the only mean and angry looking avatar's on the site.

And we are supposed to be the nice guys????

I wonder if that ever scares any of the new member's?

And yes, I wonder about silly things sometimes.

Yes Noize, I am enjoying this site tremendously, despite the androids. LOL

The first time I visited this forum was in January 2006 when I was getting ready to make music and start recording again. Ever since I dropped in to lurk every now and then. I read the pages with Tips and explored some of the links on the Links pages. Recently I decided to just jump in the deep HRC waters and swim with rest of the musical fishes.

One of the reasons why I joined HRC was the friendly atmosphere and the unbelievable knowledge available. Something else that struck me was the fact that even a beginners question is answered with the respect it deserves.

Thanks for telling a bit about the history of HRC. Very interesting.

I guess Deon's is a bit on the spooky side as well. I never realized it was a clown though.

pjk, your avatar is a constant reminder of Tuna to me. He as always into Invader Zim, even to just shortly before leaving for basic. He collected so much IZ stuff it wasn't funny. Now he left it to his little bro to take care of it.

Why should scary be rewarded and not best design??? LOL

By the way Nightcap, who is that in your avatar? Kinda looks like a modified Iron Man or something along that line. Kinda cool really. I'll assume it is an original design possibly.

No reward for scary. I had just noticed that myself and dB have avatar's that kind of hint toward the meaner side of life.

I actually thought Deon's was some kind of space alien or something until pjk mentioned it looked like a spooky clown.

Noize, to be honest I really don't recall who it's supposed to be. If I remember correctly it's a take on a comic character. Must be at least 15 years since I made it.

It's funny though that dB and you have avatars that are kinda out of tune with the personalities behind it. :-)

Some turtles taste good as well. :-)

Nightcap, just don't start talking politics's or or political correctness or the sissification of America as we like to call it and it will all be good. :-)

And ya, I know sissification isn't a word but its better then what I would usually call it.

Bleak, ya some us have strange avatar's all right. But your horn tooting butt cheek's are....

Well they simply are.

I think I got the "sissification" part. :-)

It's one of the rules I live by to never let politics mix in when I'm having a good time. Better save the energy for something positive.

I figured you'd get it.

And politic's. Just browse a few of the threads that delve into it. Every one gets well oiled and then it all fades away later.

Thats what the talkin smack section is for. Good for a few feathers getting ruffled here and there.
