"ILI" - Influenza-like illness.....

Anybody else had this little bug that's going around? They can't pin it down, so they are referring to it just as an influenza-like illness.

I've just spent three days in bed (my fever "broke" five times..), and I still feel like crap. One of my customers was out a week, and my boss has had it come and go four times. It's a doozy.

I've been trying to avoid doing antibiotics, or any drugs for that matter, but my resolve is waning.

This bug seems to be working it's way around. Fortunately, where I work at, no one has caught it yet. All of here have been loading up on the vitamin C.

Sadly, for my father-in-law, who is the hospital. He has a strain that is drug resistant. When we visit him, we have to wear gowns, and gloves. It's hard on him, since he is breathing throw a trak.

I wonder if that is what I had... seemed like a bad stomach flu...but it just seems 'still there'... bad acid now though... but I'm eating crap food too... :)

I think I picked it up at a farm auction I was at.

I jokingly referred to it as Cat Flu because my cat tanked at the same time... but that was probably kidney failure... she died on the 1st :( did the math and she would have been 21 this Easter...

I toughed it out, it sucked, it took days, I am still not 100%...but, well, I haven't been 100% since high school but I digress.

I avoid the antibiotic route any time I can.

I've had it for a few days now. Never felt like throwing up, but have really bad acid, bad gas, gross burps and some *cough* explosions.

I'm feeling it right now. I dodged it for about a week while I watched everyone around me get sick. I thought I might escape but I wasn't so lucky. I hope everyone feels better.

Ray has had it, more cold like symptoms then anything for about 4 weeks. Tuna and the wife both got nasty ill on Thursday and Friday of last week respectively. I just started getting the cold like feeling yesterday. Sweaty and chilled today on my friggin day off. I'm doing heavy dosing of C and hoping to beat it, though I'll be outside in sub zero up at the lake all day tomorrow as we are still trying to clear the place out. I can't get sick now anyway and will have to tuff it out if I do as we are now on mandatory 60 hour week at work.

Not to throw a positive note in, or seem <cough> arrogant, but I never get sick. Well, rarely from common germs or viruses. I have other bizarre afflictions.

I have familial hyperkalemic periodic paralysis. Yes, you'll have to Google it. Much more convenient than a brain tumor, and less stressful than the heartbreak of psoriasis.

Other than that, the most plaguing disability I have is Internet Protocol.

No, not that. I understand TCP/IP just fine.

Everyone in my office has been down at one point or another this week. To make it worse, now there seems to be a stomach bug going around too. I hope that I can bypass that one.

i use my shirt to open doors, i enter my pin number with my knuckle, and if i touch anything, i remember it, and then go and wash my hands. i do not want to get this thing. i haven't so far. gotta remember to wash up. i'm gonna get more alcohol wipes tomorrow.

i also rarely get sick, but if i touch something and then touch my eyes, it could happen. nothing you can do if you do that.

just got a cholesterol test back. i eat horrible foods. somehow my cholesterol is off the chart good, the ratios all better than perfect. one webpage described 'reversal of heart disease' for the levels i showed up with. haha. i'm eight pounds above my high school weight and i don't exercise. i'm going to, though. i really want to. strange, though, how these levels worked out.

I try very hard to stay away from anything that might get me sick. But living in this house with everyone touching everything makes it tough. Kids and a wife that don't cover their mouths when they cough in here. They do in public but not in the studio. But I digress. I spray the dissinfectant.
