cooledit and firebox

i brought cooledit to a buddy's house who has a presonus firebox. the firebox works fine w/ cubase but when i started up cooledit, it doesn't recognise the firebox, can anyone offer some wisdom?

Nov 14, 2005 10:54 pm Yep, I dont think the older versions of CoolEdit were capable of using ASIO so that is probably the problem.

Nov 15, 2005 01:02 am Yep unless the Firebox has an MME or WDM driver it won't work with Cool Edit or Audition. AA 2 is due out soon (so I hear), hopefully they'll finally support ASIO, I'd be surprised it they didn't.

Nov 15, 2005 06:52 pm I would hope they do though. Even the littler guys are supporting ASIO now. So I would assume if they want to stay selling their stuff they would jump up to it.
