Sep 04, 2005 01:37 pm Thats really a nice song flame. This could have been on Lennon's "Starting Over" album. I really like these types of songs and you've written a great one here. The drums are perfect for the song, He did a nice job on those for you. I wish the song a bit longer, ends a bit too soon. :)
I read your review on Drums For You yesterday. Excellent job on the review and interview. I checked out the site and I just may have Him do a song or 2 for me. Really enjoyed the read!

Sep 05, 2005 10:43 am Hey great song flame. I love the the synth part towards the end. The drum into is also awesome. Did u choose to mix the drums your self or did you just get the stereo track?
Sep 05, 2005 12:52 pm Interesting song. Well mixed and sounds good...
But if I may comment, and I hope you dont mind, I think more could have been done with the bass to help full out the song a bit more, in congunction with it echoing the kick notes. also I feel that the kick could have had a bit more body. I also think a clean electric or a meaty acoustic guitar migtsuit this song well.
Its just my opinion.
Otherwise, it sounds good and better mixed than anything I have ever done. Also my speakers at present arent really any good, so my comments might be void.

Sep 05, 2005 04:59 pm Beautiful song Flame... and the drums DO sound perfect for it . I read your interview and checked out his site, and I am totally impressed ! After spending some time micing and recording our drums, I can appreciate a perfectly recorded kit . I may be sending him some of my own works... if I record something worthy of perfectly recorded drums . heh
Cheers to y'a !

Sep 05, 2005 06:50 pm thanks for the feedback guys, im sure elad will get a kick (or a snare, maybe) if he sees this.
josh : i mixed individually cos im a control freak, but there was no real benefit to is cos the mix supplied was awesome too
hue : totally agree man. he's doing guitar and keyboard and bass parts too, be interesting to see if theyre just as awesome as the drums huh?
Sep 06, 2005 11:36 am Hi guys!
I think it's about time I will join this great community.
Thank you for the wonderful feedback!
PS.
Flame: I don't record the guitars, keyboards and bass. We have 3 other musicians for that.
