Hi all, been a while...

Wondering what everyone thought of the Blaster Audigy2 ZS (D) Card w/Dolby 5.1 card?

For audio recording, I don't think about it...spoend that money on a semi-pro card.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

My first card was a SB audigy. It's marketed as a recording card but it's really not. I, Like dB, reccomend using the money you would spend on an audigy on a pro, or semi-pro card.

SB Really aren't the best to use for Recording.

If you already own an Audigy 2, and only need 2 inputs/outputs then there's no reason not to use it, it does fine for recording, as well as any of the semi-pro cards IMO. If however your going to buy a card for recording, then I'd go along with what dB says.

I have an Audigy LS (it's a "fake" audigy) that supposedly recorded at 96kHz, 24 bit. What a scam. It "faked" it all (what was I expecting from a card that didn't even have an Audigy chip on it?). I don't trust SB or their claims or their specs. I've got an EMU 1820M (guess who makes the EMU line?) and it is *worlds* better than an Audigy of any name. I'd go with a "semi-pro" card myself, also.

Totally no room for SB in semi pro / pro recordings... I asked the same question before, went with dB's advice and havent regret it since then...
