This is a tough learning curve. Have to work on the EQ a bit more. The vocals are purposly compressed and EQ'd. Not sure I like result though.

I like the song alot ! Sounds a bit like a U2/Durran Durran thing, IMHO . Very cool ! Yet I see what you mean about the eq'ing . There's some weird high-end noise going on with the guitar (mp3 jive ?), and the kick drum is a bit over powering, but the vocals are nice, and clear . Cool song, keep it up, man !

Thanks for the compliment. Nice to know someone thinks your not making crap. ;-)

The high end on that guitar is annoying as hell. My buddy recorded it using a piezo pickup. Having a tough time killing that bad frequency without wrecking everything around it. Still learning the ropes of Sonar.

This is a great pop song. I'd also love to hear this with a mic'ed acoustic guitar instead of the direct recording. The vocals sound great, and again, the songwriting is very good.

Keep up the good work it sounds like you're well on your way.

Thanks for the feedback and compliment. I think that from now on I will refuse to allow a direct acoustic in the front of the mix. Perhaps in the back to edge it up a bit here and there. But I have to agree. A mic'ed acoustic is FAR better. Just have to get a good mic for the recording. Any suggestions for this?

Even more important than mic selection is microphone placement. This article really opened my eyes to the different possibilities. Getting a good acoustic guitar sound is an art that I have yet to master, but I'll keep experimenting and tring new things till I get t right!

Been listening to this song, plus other stuff from your web site. Your music is awesome. Very infectious songwriting, and I love the harmonies. Great singing.

I really think with a more acoustic sounding acoustic (as others have mentioned) that your music will sound even better!

Keep up the great work!

Really nice song. I think the recording is very good, the acoustic sounds fine to me. Very good vocals as well, you've have a great voice, I think the EQ'ing on it works for the song. The negative I hear is some hiss, and hum in quiet parts and there are places where the kick or it might be a Tom with the kick, is a bit to loud.

Nice one, keep em' coming!

Thanks again for the feedback. It get kind of hard to be objective with your own stuff. 'Specialy after working on the sound for so long. Gets hard to hear it differently. This is very helpful. We are now reworking the song a little. Rerecording the guitars, tweaking the vocal melody here and there to make it less repetetive. I also posted another tune in my profile that is awaiting a female singer. It's called trophy.
