I know of Graham Kerr, and I know of Ed Norton... but I don't know a thing about Graham Norton.

He's an Irish camp, gay chatshow host type of bloke..

Plays on himself being gay to be honest but he can be funny sometimes. He is actually gay tho so its not just for show.

I personally dont like him cause he is very, very annoying - but many others do. I prefer more subtle humour but he's done a few funny things.

I remember him phoning up somebody in New York at random (from the UK) and winding them right up. If ya check graham norton and channel 4 on Google you'll no doubt find out more.

:-( thumbs doon fi me tho!

Aye..it was funny. He just phoned someone up and done and wind up..think she told him to £%£" off and hung up but it was good!

He does it quite a lot...

Dunno if you guys have even seen Father Ted - the Irish priest?? All about 3 useless priests chucked on a remote island off the coast of Ireland?? He was in that too..and the character he played was soooooooooo annoying with a winey voice etc..but, it sounded like him in real life!!

Still..as I say - some folk love him. I just dinny!

I watched the show today because my girlfriend likes him and I have to say that was the most idioticly obnoxious show I've ever seen.

Loki - right on my man...right on!

The man is a fool. He just ANNOYS me. I cannot laugh at him cause he ignites an anger in me that just wants to whack him in the head and roar "SHUUUUTTT UPPPP"!

Must be his voice or somethin! He does have a few good gags but not many. I certainly wouldnt watch his crummy show!!

In fact, I'd rather put hot coles in my eyes and cut off my fingers just in case I was ever temptedto watch/change channel to his damned show!

still..each to their own...

aye, you UK'ers have always been tops with the comedy. the american humor scene seems dog-bad right now. for a few years. riddled with pointless sarcasm and non-jokes, with a "hello, i'm literally stupid" undercurrent. i think i might have to read all my douglas adams again.

I don't think I agree with that, I think the US right now has some very good, current and topical comedians around right now. I did watch Graham Norton and found it kinda funny. But I love some of the current American standups, Louis Black is very smart and topical, as is Ron White, while kind of a southern redneck, he keeps me in stitches...there are a few...

once he said, " I bought a box of powdered water and I didnt know what to add to it" LOL!!!!!!

Another funny one was he got a good deal on a house on the freeway divider, it was a cool house, but he had to be going at least 50 when he left his driveway!!

He catches you off guard all over, and is the king of the one liners.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yeap, he has a distorted-genious mind. " I went to a store that said it was open 24 hours at 10 at night, and the guy was closing the store. I pointed to the sign that said 24 hours, he said, " not in a row".... hahahah

i wasn't really thinking stand-up comedy. i have a few favorite american standups too, though i have yet to learn some of thier names. as for shows, the jon stewart show is obviously hilarious. the simpsons is fantastic.

i dont know what i was talking about. i guess i just notice a lot of the bad stuff, and there's a ton of it.

i'll take this time to say that i loathe south park (hides)

I thought the first season of south park was a riot, from there it was all downhill, and fast...

i was just instantly annoyed by a. the animation b. the voices c. the whole style of humor--mean and antagonistic.

i have so many friends who like the show, though, i wonder if i'm just like some old man who can no longer identify with youth culture.

then again, i was recently informed of the michael jackson episode. that sounded silly enough to be good.

i'm closed-minded, ok!?

Nah your not. To me the "vulgarity shock" of south park just got out of hand, I guess in strides to better the original season, and after that happens, things usually fail.

Like Dice Clay trying to out do himself. It was already to the hilt to begin with.

Aye - I forgot the SImpsons...a great US export.

In fact, it is one of my fav programmes next to Fools & Horses.

The episode with paul mccartney was class..as was the one with spinal tap!

Hhehehe
