I'll give it a listen and see what I can do... if you're open to hand drums instead of a trap kit, that is. :)

tony, could you possibly post a version with a metronome ticking away on it? I can't seem to sync mine properly... I made a little headway on this, but nothing solid yet. That part where the drums come in is throwing me off a little.

did you download the "no drums version?"
you dont have to start where i did, you can play through the whole thing if you want....
the only thing i can do is extend the main drum part through the whole song and lower it so its not annoying- (i dont use a metranome- i use a basic drum track)

if itll help lemme know

ok that actually helps a lot... I figured you wanted the drums to come in exactly where they did in your track. I think I can do something really cool with this... What I've got so far is sounding pretty cool. I can probably wrap it up this weekend.

Hey Tonyd, this isn't really in reference to your drums, and well, I know you didn't ask for feedback, but I thought I would let you know that your backup vocals are a bit off at times, and one time in particular at 2:35. It seems in general, when you are singing, you are afraid to let go and give it all you've got (I have this problem too).

The guitar sounds good though, and I like the lyrics. The tune is catchy too, and I don't think the drums are as bad as you would make them out to be. Simple, but not bad. I would give the drums a go, but moving files from one pc to another is a pain in the ***.

Hey cool, feed back always welcome. Youre right- letting go is a problem for me, cause, well, im rather timid on singing. Doesnt stop me but.. as i get better overall, my vocals do too. eventually im sure ill sound like bon jovi....
thanks for the listen.

I notice on nowhere radio site that you have a very open space for recording.... not isolated at all. Is it that you hate singing when you think other people can hear you? I have that problem. Every time I try to lay a vocal track down, I feel totally inhibited if there's anyone else in the house. I hate to think that anyone is downstairs, chuckling quietly at my multiple attempts to create music.

I have the exact same problem as tincan. I don't even bother trying to record if anyone else is in the house. I'm very self concious when singing in a recording environment. I'm a little bit better with rapping, but not much.

It would help i think if i had taken a few vocal lessons. but that would mean id have to take guitar lessons to keep up. and piano lessons to keep up with the guitar. and bass lessons to lay down good stuff for my better playing. and harmonica lessons, and then recording lessons so i could capture my greatness correctly, and mixing lessons so i could mix my greatness better, and mastering lessons to master my great mix. and art lessons to make a great cd cover. and buisness lessons to make money on my greatness, and speech lessons so i would sound great as i talked about my newfound greatness when i was being interviewd about how great i was.

so you see, i think its better that i just half a$$ everything!

tony, drums are coming along great. I've got the whole song pretty much done (I had an hour and a half of free recording time last night! woohoo), but I want to add a little more at the start, and tweak a couple of timing issues. You'll hear it soon.
