I actually started this a while back, and since today is so incredibly slow at work, decided to finish it. So, here it is.... :)

Dec 26, 2003 11:42 am The article is now in the recording tips section under the songwriting category, and also at the top of the recently added list.
Bug, you now have contributor status, please submit articles via emailing them to me, or thru the "add an artcile" link you should now have, not the forum.

Dec 26, 2003 11:48 am Hey TCB, i read the article, well done. I always like to read songwritting articles to see a fresh perspective on something that has no set rules. Just for that i am gonna go and do a little tinkering.

Dec 26, 2003 12:09 pm I added it again (the proper way this time) because the "/" character had been removed by the HRC script and created some oddly truncated word combinations. This has been fixed. Could you please remove the earlier version? Thanks, db.

Dec 26, 2003 12:17 pm db, just an fyi that you may already be aware of... your "total number of articles" data for each section, on the main Recording Tips page, counts the number of articles, but includes articles that have been submitted but not approved. So in other words, in the songwriting section it now shows 4 articles in the number, but there are only 3 approved ones available. I don't know if it's important enough to bother with, but I thought I'd mention it. :)
Dec 26, 2003 02:17 pm good article, tincan. i enjoyed it.
i've started using my cell phone answering service as a substitute for a tape recorder. you just call yourself and send yourself a message of your song idea, wherever you are. for one thing, it forces you to make the choice of having a cluttered inbox or working on the song quickly. i like that. no more huge boxes of scary unlabeled tapes for me.
Dec 26, 2003 03:03 pm No, I did a search and replace on the \ character because it is an escape character used by PHP to...well, make dealing with certain things easier, which is why I need scripts submitted the proper way, to avoid those hassles.

Dec 26, 2003 04:29 pm Excellent artical TC, great read. I'm probably more of a Woodshedding writer with a little
Tinker thrown in for good measure. <G>
