Make your own band t-shirts!

Saw this idea on a kids tv show...not that i watch kids tv a lot...well, sometimes...

Anyways, it worked brilliantly so im gonna pass it on. All ya need is some fine grain wet and dry or sandpaper and a wax crayon (or two, or three).

Simply draw an image, your bands name or whatever you like in MIRROR IMAGE (important, that bit) onto the paper in wax crayon. Now go over it again, and again, and again - keep going over the lines until theres not much crayon left.

Now, get your t-shirt (or whatever youre using), lay it on an ironing board and place the sandpaper with the image face down onto the fabric.

Now, place a piece of plain paper or kitchen towel over the sandpaper and simply iron over it...the heat will melt the wax and stick it to the fabric. Give it a good going over and 'voila'...customised t-shirts.

I found you shouldnt do anything too complex or you just get a sticky mess, but i did a big flame design which came out brilliant - ive got the pics if anyone wants a look.

Let me know what ya come up with people!

that sound's like fun. i'm just thinking of all of the startling things i might rock on a custom t-shirt. I guess machine drying is out of the question? i'm sure cold washing and line drying only. and no prolonged exposure to direct sun. it's funny, parents spend years trying to teach their kids not to use crayons in any other way that how they are intended (don't eat them, don't write on the walls) and a tv show comes along and shows them it's okay.

so what in the world is "wet and dry"?

and it's cool to watch kids tv, it's better that most of the crap targetted at teens. alot of my friends have kids so i'm used to cartoons and junk.

wet and dry is a type of sandpaper which, youve guesed it, you can use wet or dry. basically its made of fabric rather than paper so u can use it damp.

my girlfriends got kids so ive got a decent excuse for watching kids tv : )

spongebob squarepants anyone?

The best is some of the music acts you get to see on Sesame Street. They have some of the greatest artists doing some awesome stuff.

Mellissa Ethridge doing a song about the letter "u" absolutely rocked. And it always reminds of of Noize2u's story about getting yelled at by Mellissa Ethridge for staring at her girlfriend while he was doing some sessions for her year ago :-) Bwahahahaha
