Feb 27, 2011 01:28 pm I think he is still in the UK. But I'm not 100% on that. I haven't seen any post from him on FB in a little while now. But, I'll take a look and see.
Feb 27, 2011 01:30 pm Just checked to see if he is posting. He is. So, looks like he is good.

Feb 28, 2011 09:53 am Hey guys. Thanks for thinkin!
I'm in Amsterdam. Good friends and family are ok. Pretty ******* scary!
On the positive, its great to see the community coming together. Boysmum (my mum) is using her pick up truck to cart food and supplies from homes to a drop off point on the outskirts. From there, its flown by helicopters to the more damaged parts. My dad said they moved 20 tonnes of food in one day!!
My friends are either baking food for people without homes, or out there cleaning the streets next to the civil defense teams.
If you can spare a cent, make a donation to the red cross www.redcross.org.nz/donate . Goes towards cleaning up the city and helping some really, really lovely people get back on their feet.
Much love! x
Feb 28, 2011 09:57 am Boysmum pops into my head every time I see the news cover this story, but I could never remember the part of the country you guys were from.
Very glad to hear she's OK, Arie, I knew you were out of the country, her well being did surely weigh on my mind. Good woman she is.
Mar 02, 2011 10:35 am Just learnt that my gear is in an unsafe building set for demolition in a couple of days...

Mar 02, 2011 01:55 pm Ah man...I'm really sorry to hear that. What all did you lose?
Mar 07, 2011 08:46 am Everything in my profile minus a couple of guitars and my amps.
Doesn't look like insurance will pay out either. SIGH.
Losing someone is far worse than losing gear... Thoughts are with victims friends and families.
Mar 07, 2011 08:47 am How can insurance NOT pay out? Didn't have that earthquake rider coverage or some legality?
Mar 07, 2011 12:14 pm oh dude...ouch....eh that feels sour in my stomach...i'm sorry bro.

Mar 07, 2011 03:00 pm I looked at your gear list. Let me know if you are interested in a DBX 160a compressor. It's no distressor but I'd be happy to end it your way if you will use it. Wish I had more I could afford to send your way.
Mar 08, 2011 09:58 am come to think of it...i got a blue-tube 2ch preamp in excellent condition that i havn't touched in over a year if ya want it, it's yours.
Mar 08, 2011 10:00 am yep, found it...still in the original box even. once i got my interface with 8 pre's i haven't used it at all.
Mar 09, 2011 08:20 am Thanks guys!! This place is awesome. I'll be ok though. If anything this is the kick in the *** I need to stay overseas and find studio work.
