KRK Rokit Monitors

Anyone out there using the KRK Rokits of any size? They look like they're pretty decent and not too expensive as a good entry level monitor. I've been using 2 channels of my Klipsch Promedia 5.1 system as monitors and it's about time to get something that was made for use as monitors.

They are a great little monitor for sure. While the smaller ones don't have the absolute best or biggest bass response they are a very good start. The 8 is of course going to have a good bottom end. but the smaller ones will get you going for sure. And you can always add a sub later when you can afford it.

I use an older pair of KRK passive monitor's and have loved them for years.

I have been to many home studios and dj's houses where these were the speakers of choice. They bump and sound good as far as I'm concerned. Never had to mix on them though. I have the same older model as Noize and like them mostly (my bass is not quite right, but I've learned to correct for it. I think it's my room actually, all kind of weird stuff going on in my room with the bass frequencies).
Anyhow, I think they'd prolly be a good purchase.

i use KRK V4's. (the ones with a kevlar cone)
I actually was a bit sus on them for a while till i bass trapped my room, but they are good little speakers.

doing up a room made all the difference.
they are hell punchy for a little speaker.
without the room bass trapped, any speakers would be limited in what you could get from them in terms of a good mix.

I have some KRK 8's, WOW, they are loud if you want it. I do like them, I'm going to A/B them with the KRK 5's, to hear the difference. But I don't have a lot of experience with monitors......just what I like.
