I'm not sure how much stock to put into this due to the lack of cited sources, but I saw this posted elsewhere and thought some of you might get a kick out of it:

Mar 04, 2008 11:44 am I just use cheepy roll of wire I bought from a hardware shop for less than £5 and that works fine with my 5.1 surround.

Mar 04, 2008 10:33 pm One thing to consider is the heftyness of the coat hanger wire. That solid bugger can carry a pretty hefty load of current without loss. I'm switching my cables right now to coat hanger wire.
