Jan 04, 2008 03:15 pm Aside from the fact that this dude is a total douchebag, burglarizing $20 will get you a felony? Damn!
This actually kinda made me laugh. I mean, who the hell steals money from a two year old?
Jan 04, 2008 03:17 pm Well, I am guessing the breaking in to the house was the felony...amount of money not withstanding...
It's laughably disgusting, I admit...what a ****** douche, for sure.

Jan 04, 2008 05:39 pm You no doubt know my feelings on gun control by now. However, this is one exception in my book.
One between the eyes would work just fine!
(can't guarantee that kind of shot? What are you doing in charge of a firearm?...Oh, dear...there I go again...)

Jan 04, 2008 05:45 pm What a genius. I can't even think of anything to say about this, that's how messed up it is.

Jan 04, 2008 10:46 pm Gun control = Hit what you aim at.
Jan 05, 2008 12:05 am Whoa now.
The kid was not violated. The parents were ripped off. It just happened to be sitting in a jar in the kid's bedroom.
The toddler will be just fine. Two-year-olds have no concept of money.
Anyone who would execute someone over $20 is a madman.

Jan 05, 2008 09:48 pm Na, its the burglary that is the main crime here. I am guessing he would have gone for much more if he hadn't been caught in the act. Odd's are he would have smacked someone down later on. If you're that stupid to do a B n E in an occupied residence you are risking a lot.
Gun Control
Use two hands!
Jan 11, 2008 10:52 am It's no doubt very interesting that we need a license to drive a car or go fishing, but anyone with reproductive organs is allowed to bear children with no questions asked.
/borderline fascist talk
Jan 11, 2008 10:54 am fascist perhaps, but I agree...it should require approval, because sadly, these reports are not getting any less common.

And why don't you Minnesotans get some strip clubs of your own? You guys are always comin' to Wisconsin and bringin' your kids to ours and ruining everything.

My problem with this is the violation of space. No matter what your issue is, breaking into someone's home and stealing is unforgivable. That the toddler was unharmed was just a matter of luck. Anyone who violates a kids space is a waste of food in my books.
You know, dB-Wan, my wife was just talking this morning about how she keeps hearing these terrible stories about how 'families' keep killing and abuse each other. It really depresses her (for obvious reasons). Your absolutely right that such "reports are not getting any less common." It's a real problem.
Oh, sorry....Our real problem is the Iranians/Iraqis/North Koreans/OBL/Afghanis/Pakistanis/flavour of the month. Anything to not focus on what's going on at home...

Here's a forward-thinking concept:
We should ease the public into accepting capital punishment for kid space violations. Perhaps starting with chopping off their hands. That's it.
No, that would be too much like the methods of the Iranians/Iraqis/North Koreans/OBL/Afghanis/Pakistanis. I'll think of something.

Jan 11, 2008 12:51 pm Right, only the Iranians/Iraqis etc. do things that are violations of human rights.
Jan 11, 2008 01:12 pm what we need is a backwards thinking concept of people actually being punished for their crimes...remember when people actually went to jail?

Yeah, but that happened BEFORE the job at the paper too!
