I can’t help but wonder if bace135 is a Gemini. Like the Gemini, his music has two sides to it which seem like they would contradict one another but which actually fit well inside of a full personality. Maybe I’m biased by the double EP that I received – Monkey Vs. Robot and Man Vs. Machine. The first has a hint of hip hop but is primarily electronica / dance music. The second has some electronica but is primarily hip hop. And they both come together to create a complete musical set of electronic hip hop that captures the essence of Bay Area music.

Sep 01, 2007 06:54 pm Thanks guys. The album's been out for a little while. I got a couple reviews a while back, but didn't think to post 'em. This one just came recently.

Sep 05, 2007 11:12 am D'oh, I don't do too many shows these days...
Geoff, I don't have a car, so getting out your way is pretty tough for me. My weekend schedule has been pretty insane this summer, so my bad for not getting back to you. But if you ever come into the bay area (esp. the city) I'll make sure we connect.
Tallchap: thanks buddy.
Noize: got any comments on the cd, if you have had a chance to listen to it?

Sep 05, 2007 04:26 pm coolo, ya we've been listening to it.
First comment, smoooooth like butter!
We were cruising with it on and I love driving to it. Lots of interesting stuff going on. We actually had it on during the weekend loud in the studio while I was completely redoing the boyz room's down here and upstairs. I'm sure the neighbors all got a taste of it as well. :-)
But indeed, I'm lovin it!

Sep 07, 2007 10:04 pm sweet. i've been learning from my mistakes on that album. bass is not hitting. I overcompensated and there is not enough low end when I mastered it. doh. oh well. next several projects in the works are going to be so much better (unless you dig the instrumental stuff, cuz there won't be too much of that stuff anymore).
Thanks for the kind words though Noize. Love to hear it.

Sep 08, 2007 09:41 pm coolo, it may be a little light on bass but it honestly is not that light. Although I do agree there could be a bit of a boost there, in the car and in here it sounds pretty dang good.
And indeed I do like the instrumental part I like the rest of it as well. It is very well put together and very well done.
