That's nice.

I always have fits trying night shots. I think cheap cameras and low patience may have something to do with it =).

Got a little motion blur there. You gonna photoshop it at all or leave it all natural?

It's gona stay, it's intended to be displayed as a 5x7..so more than 2ft away it'll still look in focus

how does overexposing affect the final product? i can understand star movement and what not, but what's effect on the 'subject'?

I kinda liked the light blur, makes it look softer, which I would believe is desirable in this context.

Basically the long exposure allows the ambient light to properly expose the film/CCD (shot some medium format of this too but thats being processed)

So basically, It could be double exposed... use flash on the subject... then take a second longer exposure for the background and then photoshop the two together...however that wouldn't take into account all of the light sources that effect the subject... and would only be an interpretation' of what the scene would probably look like if we had better night vision.

following is a better example of why it's easier to do the long exposure and be happy with the softness.

It's from the first night shoot I took. Though there's three 'darker' shadows at her feet there are actually at least a dozen... recreating that lighting would just be too hard.

Killer photo's zek for sure. The top one almost looks as if it was done in Pov-Ray or something. Very 3 dimensional look to it. I used to love doing that stuff when I had a nice Canon 35mm. Now I am relegated to simple digital, nice but not nearly the fun of the 35mm.

I so wanna see my wife do that to my neighbor...only my wife wouldn't throw that girly hammer fist, it'd be a nice jab, cross, hook combination.

I am up so late cuz I can't sleep thinking about the issue at hand with that psycho, the affect on my family, the legal expense and everything else.

Man, that lady did get her right on the nose, didn't she?

Ya, that was a nice direct hit. The fist was a little slanted though so I'm betting it didn't smack as fully as it could have. I was watchin for the blood but none in that short vid. The smug little daughter lookin thing was kinda grinnin though wasn't she?

Were the hell do you find this stuff Herb?

dB, here is hoping things go well tomorrow for ya. I'm guessing they will though. But I'll keep a little prayer goin for ya anyway.

Ya, I saved that one for the archives to use somewhere later. I can think of a couple people I might send it off to.
