Apr 12, 2007 10:20 pm Oh I'm sure it has everything to do with it. That and a certain community voting for him. My personal opinion is that he just plain sucks. He doesn't even come close to any of the contestants I've seen when I actually watched some of that show.
Apr 12, 2007 11:25 pm As a singer he sucks but this is an entertainment show and he's pure entertainment - far more than anyone else. You either love him or hate him and it's fun just to see how bad he can be each week. This week he was actually OK vocally but his winks to the camera etc. made my wife feel sick.

I don't see it, he can't sing, his presence has only gotten marginally better as he has gotten incredibly more arrogant...I dunno, he does nothing for me, but I suppose young girls must find him attractive or something, thats about the only thing I can think of pulling him through.
This last week he didn't suck, but he still wasn't good. His version of "You really got me" was still one of the worst I have ever heard...
Apr 13, 2007 08:11 am Sanjaya (henceforth known as Mangina) was just listed on the "unsexiest men on earth" list on my local radio station (KQRS 92FM) not sure where they got the list yet but he is accompanied by Gene Simmons, Don Imus, Chad (from nickleback) and others...pretty funny.

Apr 13, 2007 12:44 pm I watch when i can. I like melinda, she sounds like soul singers used to sound like in the 70s, when they could actually sing (kinda reminds me of patti labelle). Blake is hit or miss with me. Last week he was good, but I'm kinda rooting for him cuz I like how he through out a couple super underground hip hop groups when asked what he listens to (common market and giant panda). Lakisha can sing, and I like the white guy with the bald head's voice but he still needs to harness it a bit better (the judges hate on him more than I think is necessary though).

No neck is still there and doing well but I can't see her winning, just not appealing enough to the "kids"
I watch the show on DVR, 15 seconds of each song + judges comments and it's over fast.
maybe entertainment is the wrong word for Sanji' but he makes people watch, he annoys you, he frustrates you, he makes you sick, you like him but most everyone has some feelings about him. Not sure we can say that about ANY of the rest of them, it's a pretty uninteresting group this year and even the eye candy is now gone.
His increasing arrogance has annoyed the heck out of me that's for sure but I guess what else could he do.

Apr 20, 2007 12:51 pm I actually think the blond guy has a quite original voice. Nothing startling, and nothing you haven't heard from the "Madchester" bands of the 90's, but different enough to be viable. No-neck is very good. One thing I did notice was the big black girl during the the "lets all sing a song and look uncomfortable' bit. Her harmonies were outrageous. Spot on. She could make a career from studio session singing.
Mangina was rubbish. He's done. No career for you, sunshine.

Yeah, that big chick is pretty good...usually, she has had some off moments though.
