Argh, snow. Yuck. Hate the stuff (been there, done that).

It's cold here (for California) but not that cold (You go out in a t-shirt and think - "ooh, it's cold").
I'm off to Chicago on business in a couple of weeks and I realized yesterday that I have absolutely no cold weather clothes.

Enjoy your snow.
Yuck.

We got iced and snowed upon all weekend. But today is MLK Jr. day anyways so I'm off work. Of course that doesn't make any difference since I've been working from home all weekend anyways...today is no different. Stoopid work. Grrrrrrrr!

Hell, this is only the second snow we've had all season, it's crazy! We had three days of RAIN a while back (rain in December!?), that if it would have been cold enough to make snow prolly would have been 18" or so.

It's a weird year, normally in Minnesota we are at least knee-deep but not the last couple years.

Yeah, yeah, global warming, whatever...I still say global warming is a scam.

Within the course of a lifetime, yeah, it's easy to work on people's fears and say the planet is getting warmer, cuz it is, so it's a way to get people all worked up and rally them behind a cause generated by fear.

In the course of history the climate goes through heating and cooling trends all the time...

Of course there are different schools of thought on it, and experts are falling on both sides of the topic, I personally think it's a manipulation and a hoax.

I DO however think we have to start being a lot nicer to mother nature or she WILL kick our collective asses.

it is one of the greatest hoaxes of all time though, right along with fluoride actually being good for you...yet another great hoax, but with entirely different motives, fluoride is strictly a profit issue.

I was disappointed:

flew home to Montana from Virginia...

cold as crap...

no snow.

But we haven't had a good blizzard since back in '92... 3-5' drifts are huge to a kid of 10 yrs old. haha.

I agree that the global warming is used to try and unite people and be content with our lot.Its true that polar bears are running out of ice but I think they will develop different hunting skills cause living on ice can't be easy. Also ocean currents regulate the air temp, and if they slow down due to too much ice melting guess what happens, mini ice age!

Apparently the climate has changed enough to make ENGLISH wine become viable (and good!). Never would have thunk it. Hops maybe, but grapes?

We're having cool weather here in California (okay, so it's only 30º....but we really can't handle it emotionally). Big problem is that we've had no rain in a while, and some windy conditions (lots of fires this year). The big pain in the rear is that you can't grab a doorknob, a file cabinet, get out of your car, or kiss your wife without there being a BIG static shock. It's a real pain. I find myself using my knuckles on everything before I grab it to act as a lightning rod. Otherwise, it's all sparks and that nasty static smell.

Yep, Tuna and I got out and shoveled agout 9 or 10 last night. Then the boyz being out of school today of course for MLK day shoveled the drive after the city plow came through. Nice kids lately, I don't know what is up with them.

But heck ya, I'm loving seeing the white stuff out here. Christmas sucked without snow, and the winter was just dreary here without it as well. Now they say we are in for more of the same on Thursday as well.

And a snow day, not in my lifetime. Even when I was an hour drive from work I always made it in. Bu then being the boss in those days made it mandatory. Now its because I am only about 4 or 5 minutes away depending on traffic. Although this morning I did leave and extra 15 minutes early and rightly so. You would thin we had a friggin blizzrd. My thought is if you can't drive in it STAY OFF MY ROAD! They should really test drivers for winter license's here in MN. They wer going maybe all of 5 MPH this morning on a plowed road.

I digress, thanx for lettin me get that off my chest, I feel better now.

Last time I was in LA and we were out for dinner in Huntington Beach I was wearing flip flops and shorts and a T-shirt while every where around me were people in what appeared to be winter wear. Huge sweatshirts, sweaters and thick flannel jackets and the like. Stocking caps too! I thought what is up with these people, they don't have a clue what cold really is.
