When I add voxengo curve eq to a file in audition parts of the file become deleted at regular inetrvals. This happens with all the Voxengo effects.
Does anybody know why?
Thanks chaps/esses

Apr 18, 2006 08:41 am Some free plugs simply don't jive with some software apps .
I remember a plug I use called Ruby Tube, not letting me use it on more than one track, but because I had no idea, I was thinking that my compy was just chokin' on tracks .
Let Voxengo know of your issues, so they can possibly make a fix for .
Apr 18, 2006 06:03 pm nope that's cuz it's a 'trial verson'...ya gotta buy the real thing for it to work right...i've had some pluggs that beeped every few seconds aswell...heh i've even got a plug that beeps every 10 seconds or so, so you can release your stuff without fear of 5 billion people downloading your song, propelling you into 'simi-star' status on myspace, and you have absolutely nothing to show for it....but i digress

Apr 18, 2006 10:35 pm WYD has it nailed down right. The trial or demo versions will not let you export using the demo. It is just that a demo and they make it so you cant use it to work with.
I miss the old days when you got full or mostly full versionis and they just timed out after 30 days or something.

Yeah me too. That was the main reason I ended up buying Cool Edit Pro 2, 30 days complete functionality, and to their credit Adobe has continued with that policy and all versions of AA including the 2.0 trial is fully functional for 30 days.

Apr 19, 2006 04:14 am aahhhhhh!
I see now. Could anybody recommend a completely free plugin reverb/compressor and dynamic e.q like Curve e.q?
If there aren't any that stand out I'll keep using the ones in Audition.
Alos. Hello everyone! It's been a while. Been trying to make my studio make money and will need your mixing crtique very shortly!
cheers,

Apr 19, 2006 10:49 am For reverbs, GlaceVerb is good for a freebie.
For compressors, I still like the Classic Series compressor the best as far as freebies go. I've tried several others but I always come back to the classic compressor.
And for EQ, I started using NyQuist EQ which is a 5-band parametric with a unique interface, but it allows you to get some really fine Q settings for notching out harmonic or resonant frequencies very nicely.

Apr 19, 2006 11:57 am I've seen Paris EQ touted a while ago (few years) but never tried it.
Worth a look . . .
I use the Classic series on stuff as well. Good stuff, that.
