and prove they're METAL!

if only it had been a superbowl game, those crazy last moments would have wound up in NFL films specials

I picked against the Bears so it looks like I have only one wrong pick. I dont think anybody but me picked the Steelers so even though I muffed the hawks/skins pick I'm the only one with the Steelers. So I'm 3 for 4 today. Going into the conferance games I am stickin by them Steelers. But I havent decided if I'm gong with the upset on the NFC side yet. I do think the Seahawks could get tripped up here. But I'm not sure I wanna pick an upset there. I'll decide by Friday I guess.

Broncos/Steelers will be a great game. Honestly, that was Denver's only chance at making it to the Super Bowl with Indy losing. Denver has a chance to beat the Steelers, but they would have never beaten Indy in the AFC championship.

Yeah, I was rooting for the Bears just because I love it when teams come out of long losing streaks and do a good job without any prima donna TO/Chad Johnson/Randy Moss type characters. They just didn't have the offense to stack up to Carolina. They'll be a force in the next several years because that whole team is young and very talented. And they have a great coach/coordinator combination that should provide those youngsters with stability and great leadership. That's what every team needs.

I dunno, the way Indy looked last night, I think the Texans could have beat them...they surely had a couple decent drives but on the whole they looked very off their game.

Seein' as I was picking Indy to win it all, I now have some rethinking to do. Steelers looked tough, and nobody else really impressed me that much, so I guess I gotta go with the Steelers to win it all.

I apologize if my endorsement jinxes it for the rest of you...

Jim

And by the way...the Bears still suck! You're right, dB...how sucky is our division when that's the best team?

If the Steelers play the way they did yesterday, they can get the "One for the thumb." They were fantastic.
I don't think the Colts played any differently to the rest of the season, I just think that the Steelers really had their number.

The Mile High meeting will not be pretty.

i had to think about whether indy was off or not. the way it looked to me ultimately was that the steelers just changed something about how they blitzed and thus kept manning under pressure all night.

Well hopefully the Steelers will do it. I am not posative on my pick though. Denver could beat them if they dont bring their best game. That said I now have several peeps betting on whether I take the last 2 pools or not. This last weekend made it 6 straight. Talk about pressure, I'm feeling like a QB right now. About to be crushed by some 400 pound gorilla. :-(

If....IF...Pittsburgh play it like they did on Sunday, they can do it all. If they get off to one of their slow starts on defense, then they could all be going home for the season. This is going to be either the tightest game ever, or the Steelers will choke again, and get blown out.
I'm hoping for the first option - with Pittsburgh winning, of course.

Steelers by 3.

aye, its what i was saying to my friend, who insisted otherwise. i believe them steelers need to come out swinging and score early when playing teams that are very good. they can control the clock later, once they have a lead. we have a great passing game, so we need to use it, capitalize on it, and git 'er done
