Oct 09, 2005 10:34 pm Yep, it works well. What are you looking to do? Are you going to be focussing more on MIDI in logic or multitracking? The 002 is an A/D converter with pre amps. For more felxibility, you should look at buying an A/D converter and a Mixer. Although the 002 will work with logic, it is a product of digidesign and comes with its own multi track software called pro tools LE. Pro tools is the so called industry standard of multi track software, but there are other names such as cubase, logic, sonar etc. that are great as well.
Other Å/D converters to look at are M Audio, Aardvark, Emu, Motu.

Oct 10, 2005 11:12 am I have never liked Logic...I would take ProTools over Logic any day of the week...you don't say what kind of laptop, Mac or Windows, if Windows there are a few apps I would suggest over either Logic or ProTools.
As far as mixers, it depends on many factors, how are you recording, how many tracks at any one time? if you decide Digi002 is right for you, get the desktop unit, not the rackmount and use it for a mixer.
