SX runs VST and DX nae worries...no adapter needed.

Dont know about older/different Cubases tho..am running SX2.

schweet!! yeah i just bought SX3, does yours require a usb dongle?? 3 does which sucks for me, cuz that means i can't take projects home to work on on my own time, dongle is stayin' at the studio...

That what I hate about Steinberg, dongles and no hardcopy of a manual...pisses me off.

haha dude, you should see the 'info booklet' they send with it, it's bassically a run-down off all the neat things you can do with Cubase, but it dosn't say one thing on how to do them...i felt like they were tryin' to sell me something i already bought.

I think you can buy an extra dongle and then copy the verification stuff onto it. It might just transfer and not copy it though......

Aye, dongles on all SX's I believe from a certain one up.

The manual and "getting started guide" are about 1200 pages between them! All I wanna do is record a fekin song! SO, I just skipped the bits I didny need and learned the rest "on the job"...made PLENTY mistakes and never fully harnased what I have but alas, Im sure what I usei s all I need.

Surely ye can do as CS says...tho, it could be awkward right enough. Dunno bud, good luck to ye anyway...

I know if you were REALLY kenn to take the dongle away without the studio knowing (lol), you could simply copy the protection codes onto your spare dongle when the studio is closing down for the weekend or whatever, and then copy them back on to the dongle in the morning, before anyone gets in.

It'd take a bit of practice though.

I cant tell you how to duplicate them of the of my head though......
