Can somebody tell me if a Creative Audiogy 2 soundcard good enough for semi-pro home producing? I ask this because i'm experiencing some trouble in recording with acceptable quality
I already updated the drivers but its still the same! My PC is good! P4@2,4 with 512mb ram!!

I kindly ask for help!

Best regards from Portugal!

I used an Audigy 2 Value on my temp computer, and I think it was pretty awesome sounding. You'll run into limitations with I/Os, though. However, if you were to get perhaps a USB Mixer, I actually don't think there should be too much difference, since it is a 24/96 card, if I collect correctly.

Welcome to HRC.

If you're using the preamp within the card, then you may be getting noise introduced from the preamp. I'd think that if you use an external preamp (a mixer, or standalone preamp) and plug it's output into the line in on the card, then you'd have better results.

i looked at your website, all the words are mixed up =)

depends on the quality you are expecting...but as a rule, people always end up running into trouble with them eventually.

I've used an Audigy 2 for the last year and half and so far have had no problems. The sound quality is comparable IMO to any other card in it's price range. I've always used a mixer rather than direct into the card so that may be where your having a problem, but you should certainly be able to get very good results with the card.
