Hey guys... I have this whole software package called 'Native Instruments', which you might say,is a midi synthesiser on PC..alot of good samples and sounds and everything...
anyways, these software come with virtual keyboards ,and MIDI in and MIDI out , which you can plugin your midi keyboard to use the sounds from the software to record.

I have the M-audio Firwire1814, and i can connect my midi keyboard to the audiocard, hear with i play from the Native instrument sounds, but cant record them,
because M-audio doesnt have MIDI Record as one of its inputs, so what can i do ???
is there anyhow a way to to this ??

ok native instruments is the company's name...they make LOTS of good software....you need a host application that supports vst hosting.....cakewalk, cubase, logic, ect. and rune the software synth inside of it....

Actually, most of NI's software does have a standalone version which one can use to play and tweak sounds, but you need a host to actually record anything.

ok thanx guys ...
what is the easiest host software you guys recommend me to use to record ??
cuz my main recording software is adobe audition..which isnt very bad ..
so any host software on the side to use for vst plugins that is easy to use ..
thanx..
