so i'm spliting tracks from the album into songs, and when i bounce my R overhead track and import it into the new project (song) nothing shows up, just a flat line at digital zero...so i check my mute/solos ect. and make sure my track is still there (which it is), and re-export the audio again...import, nothing...grrr!! so i decide to do a "fast bounce" instead of slow, re-import still see nothing!! BUT this time i hit play....sho-nuff it's there alright, i just can't see the bastard...so i say **** it, i don't need to see it. so i get my drums up and start getin' everyone in phase, OH **** i NEED to see the wave now!!! how the heck am i gonna line up my snare hits when i can't see 'em??? by ear? ok so i try that, but after 10 mins, i get way frustrated cuz it's VERY hard to do by ear. so i zoom in real close on my other overhead track and decide to move that one back and fourth a bit. then i noticed when i zoomed in, i can see my other overhead track!!! woo hoo!! needless to say, i was way off with my "in phase by ear" check, but i fixed that....zoom out and BAM, it disapears again....it's only on this one track though....i donno maybe it has something to to with the fact i "fast bounced" it...any ideas?

And here I thought I was going nutz when mine was doing that. I'd click on tracks, click on insert buttons, bus assigmnents, etc. and all of a sudden hear my track. Then, just as quickly, gone. I re-loaded my mixer software and lo & behold, reliable sound. Re-boot and then visual verification (I could see the wav). I have no explanation for mine, since the box had only been running maybe 30 minutes when it whacked-out. But I think my Cubase VST doesn't like non-Steinberg wavs? Maybe? Dunno.

Shay, wyd00: just found an option on the View Menu in the Audio Editor of my Cubase VST for viewing or not viewing the wav form! The default is off, apparently, for an imported file? ("saves" computer resources, from not having to draw the wav?) I'm readin' more. Man, I've got a headache...

The record isn't still enabled is it? If so, when you export it'll be blank.
