hey all,
I recently upgraded my mixer to a 1202 VLR Pro and got rid of my Audio Buddy mic preamp and want to use the XLR Ch. 1 of my 1202 to record into Sonar. Problem is, there are no level's reading into Sonar. MIDI records fine, mic is working as far as 4x12 sound out of my monitors (for playing along with tracks) and the other channels work on the mixer as well. (Keyboard, EQ, tape deck)
Anyone have any ideas as to what I am missing regarding getting it to come through in Sonar?
thanks

Mar 07, 2005 04:24 pm hey dB
track is armed with red "R" I had it working with my old mixer, a TOA d-4 and my M-audio audio buddy mic pre. Hasn't worked since I swithced.
I'm thinking the fault lies somewhere with the alt 3-4 outs of my mixer to 1,2 ins of my delta 66
Maybe I don't have the right button pushed?
Mar 07, 2005 04:26 pm start menu > volume control > options > recording > make sure there's a check on the "line in" if you're using a stock soundcard
also if you go into sonar > options > audio and check if your soundcard is the primary recording device (should be at the top of the list)
peace

Mar 07, 2005 04:27 pm Make sure the channel using the mic is assigned to the out that is going to your sound card...but with only 1/2 outputs on the mixer that should be too tough...
Mar 07, 2005 04:29 pm yeah should be a group button near the channel fader, says "3-4" make sure it's not on "main"
Mar 07, 2005 04:34 pm I believe for that mixer you have to push the "Mute" button... (don't ask me but it works for a friend of mine )

Looks like it was set to the wrong one. Made the change and the level is now appearing in Sonar when track is armed.
Changed "M-Audio Delta 66 1/2" to "M-Audio Delta Multi 1/2" on recording which matches the playback
Thanks for the help all!!!
