I need help on my preferences for sound controls...

Sound Playback:
Realtek Ac97 Audio [/i]Or[/i] M-Audio Mobile Pre

Sound Recording:
Realtek Ac97 Audio [/i]Or[/i] M-Audio Mobile Pre

Voice Playback:
Realtek Ac97 Audio [/i]Or[/i] M-Audio Mobile Pre

Voice Recording:
Realtek Ac97 Audio [/i]Or[/i] M-Audio Mobile Pre

If you have speakers plugged into your M-Audio Mobile Pre, then select it as your Sound Playback device. Otherwise, if you have speakers plugged into your integrated sound card, then select Ac'97 for playback.

Definitely select the M-Audio for sound recording.

As for the voice recording/playback, I'm not sure how those are applied. I don't think that they'll affect you as far as PC recording via your M-Audio.

I second Tadpui's comments...to add to that, if possible, I would not use that Realtek thing for ANYTHING if you don't need to.

The device I believe we are talking about is m-audio.com/products/en_u...USB-main-1.html which does have a simple stereo out and a headphone out, plus, two line ins and two mic ins...use this device for everything and disable your Realtek
