Nov 23, 2004 11:01 am what the hell!??
Nov 23, 2004 11:03 am Ya have to pay $10 shipping...that's where I stopped.
Nov 23, 2004 11:09 am but look at all that stuff. morphology is supposed to be a valuable program. how can they give that and the kompakt players and stuff away for free

I dunno. Maybe very light versions or something.
Not saying I know much about it, or that HRC has anything to do with it, just passing on the link.

Nov 25, 2004 01:56 am Well they are sending me one. I have purchased many samples, and sold several to EastWest so I am on their mailing list and I just replied and said I'd take one. I didnt get notice of it costing me anything so I assume it wont.
And what it is about is to give ya a big chunk of what they do and make it tottally usable for any body. There is no catch other then like dB said, the $10.00 shipping thing. I believe GC and several others who sell EastWest stuff will have it on the counter for free if I uderstand correctly.
Nov 25, 2004 10:55 am for some reason i doubt my local dealer would have this. i guess i'd have to find who sells east west products. sam ash probably should, but it seems hard to believe this would be there.
noize let us know how it is. i would get this if it turns out i can go down the road (to my dealer) and pick up a copy.

Nov 25, 2004 06:35 pm I am guessing that any respectable music shop who deals in sample CD's and the like might have a few copies sent to them by EastWest so maybe make a few calls and see.
She said it should be here in two days so I expect it would be here by Friday via Fed Ex and I will let ya know asap how it looks and if indeed it is the real deal.
Nov 25, 2004 06:59 pm nice!
Nov 26, 2004 03:34 pm Hell, for ten dollars, I'll bite. Ordered mine today. Should be here by, uh, Monday or Tuesday I guess, with the holidays and all. I dont know if I'll find a use for it even if it is the real deal. But Im in the mood for a new toy so........

Dec 15, 2004 02:54 pm I've received my Demo CD a little while ago, and been playing around with it a bit.
I'm very impressed with it, being a demo and all. It has the Kontact Program, what has a small sampling of instruments with it, like cellos, bassoon, bass, a decent drum kit, and a few others. These I've been playing through FL Studio Soundfont player, as a VSTi and it's been working very well. (the cello and bassoon included are friggin awesome)
Also, there is the Intakt demo, which is a very detailed loop program. There's about 20 or so loops included with it. I've only played with it as a standalone, but can be installed as VSTi as well. There's some neat synth pads, and samples included as well.
Is it worth 10$? I think so, just for the cello and bassoon alone. I look at it as getting a taste of how the other half lives (spending mucho $$$ on sounds), plus getting some real nice other stuff to play around with as well.
Dec 15, 2004 02:56 pm Thanks for following up, pjk, I guess everyone will be getting them over the coming days, I'll be curious to hear what all the opinions are.
