Oct 27, 2004 12:57 pm ProTools and Logic are the most common as far as I know...and GarageBand comes with Mac now doesn't it?

Oct 27, 2004 01:09 pm if ya got the iLife suite ya get garageband, if not buy the whole lot for about £40...
Oct 27, 2004 02:00 pm Thanks I do have Garageband, but i wasn't sure that would have enough tracks for me. Do you recommend Pro Tools?
Oct 27, 2004 02:03 pm I don't recommend Mac ;-)
Seriously though, I don't know enough about the available software for Mac to make a recommendation of any sort.
Oct 27, 2004 02:06 pm K, If I was to switch to a PC (ouch) which software package would you recommend?
Oct 27, 2004 02:07 pm Cakewalk Sonar 4
Oct 27, 2004 02:09 pm That said, I have used Logic and ProTools and they both do the job just fine, I just seriously dislike DigiDesigns business tactics so I try to steer clear of ProTools. But many people here use it and really dig it. Logic I ironically found illogical.

Oct 28, 2004 12:42 am Logic wold be the flagship app for a Mac in the catagory relating to the likes of Sonar and Cubase.
PT is a very expensive alternative for Mac.
