Have you guys ever seen the LP shakers called "One Shot Shakers"? These things are awesome! I just picked up a pair at Guitar Center, I had never even heard of them before. They are shakers that play as precisely as drumsticks - snap them to get a single, clear "SZZZT!" shaker hit with absolutely no "secondary hit" from the little beads inside. Wow... I'm envisioning one-take shaker tracks from here on out. No more multiple shaker track takes, because I accidentally stopped the shaker wrong and the beads sizzled twice instead of once - do you know what I mean by that? Anyhow, you guys that lay down any shaker tracks, check them out, they're $20 a pair at GC.

I like the "stop" type feature on them. I play drums/percussion myself, so I like to do manual recordings instead of sample blah-blahs...
