I have a Alesis RA-300 amp running Event 20/20monitors...everything is running through my mixer...the mixer has a headphone input but I would like to juice the volume a little...is it possible to use the amp even though its powering my monitors?

Use the amp to power your headphones? No! I can hear them scream and smell the smoke from here!

Try a headphone splitter/amp like one of these groovy things, I use a headphone amp and they rock!

Behringer makes a great headphones amp (HA4600). You can plug 12 phones into it.
I have an RA-300 also, and I don't think I would risk driving headphones with it. It's an ohm's thang.
