Aug 05, 2002 12:49 am I love my AKG 240-dfs. They do me good for mastering. and other purposes
Aug 05, 2002 05:27 am I have Sony's and they are awesome...I have used Koss, theys ound decent but I doubt it would be worth spending money one since you already have a set of Sennheiser cans...

Aug 11, 2002 01:45 pm I love both my Sony's and my AKG's. The Sony's are very loud and full, and the AKG's are a bit quieter and flatter.

Oct 27, 2002 11:22 am Hi,
I am beginning to annoy the neighbours can anyone suggest a good set of headphones and headphone amplifier? Must admit the variety of headphones seems to be a minefield ranging from £3 to £500+.
Cheers

Mar 20, 2003 10:33 pm I use several, but I like the AKG-K240m. They have a very stable and flat response. And they can also be worn for extened periods of time without fatigue that you can get with some closed back phones. A very comfortable headphone, and all around good value.

Mar 21, 2003 03:02 am Hey Vikki, long time no see...how are ya?
Mar 21, 2003 08:53 am I just bought the Sony MDR-7506 headphones and they are very nice. They have better low frequency response than most of the others I tried. They also have pretty good containment so there is not a lot of bleed into the mic when recording vocals.
As for a headphone amp I recommend the Behringer HA46000. I don't think you'll find anything close for the price.

Mar 23, 2003 11:32 am Here, here for Sony. Very hard to go wrong in the MDR series. Last I checked Koss was still producing inexpensive, "layman" cans that did not compete with "pro" audio gear.

Mar 23, 2003 06:39 pm Yes indeed, I like the Sonys for the lively sound they have. They give you a pretty good representation of what thigs will sound like on a homw stereo with the colour that they add to the mix.
