Stage snake for recording??

can i used a stage snake for recording? will it affect anything... i want a permanent setup instead of crawling behind things and losing track of cables and wires?

Sure, they can be used. The only real downside is that you are going to have your signal running through A LOT of cable then, even when it may not be necessary...though that depends on how big of a snake you get. But yes, it will work.

alright thanks db can you reccomend anything else that may simplify things.... maybe a little easier on the pocketbook???

Maybe you just need a nice big multicore with a wide "open end" at one end.

i found a proco 16x4 50' snake... that will work fine and i could use it whne my band gigs too... so good deal that should worked good i was just basically sick of all the damn cables goin everywhere and not knowing what is what so this should help alot

hey hey i found a studio snake that has 16 xlrs males and females... and its only 15 feet long and 70 bucks!! i ordered it today

Patch bays will ease the problems of cables winding everywhere also, putting all the ins and outs right in the front of the rack.
