File size smaller????

hey people hows it all going ??
i just finshed joing no where radio and was about to upload a couple of my songs when i found that they were two big. I had a look around some of the other artists there and there files are like 4mb mine are like 20 how can i reduce the size of my files ??.
At the moment im doing a final mix or bounce as a 16 bit is that good ??.
any adivce would be aswome thanks.

what is it, a wav file!? you need to convert to mp3. 160kbps mp3 is a good compromise between file size and sound quality, though 192kbps is better. 128kbps is probably the usual though. you shouldn't have to encode any lower than 128, as that will reduce your filesize by nearly 90%.

i'm sure Sound Forge has adequate mp3 encoding function

Hey, jues, that thing looks awesome, how about you add that to our links directory? Unless it's already in there, I dunno as Noize2u manages the links thing now...
