my little strat project (consisting of a biscayne fender body, a single squire pick up and not much else) is almost done...got the pick up i ordered on ebay this morning, just got done wiring it up, and fixing the scratch plate and plastic bits back to the body...and its almost ready to roll!
no strings yet though...
ill post a pic somewhere soon in case anyones interested, cant wait to play it - gotta wait for the guitar shop to open : agonising!

Jun 05, 2003 06:11 am woohoo, got the strings on now! gotta do some serious neck adjustments when i can find a powerdrill or something strong enough to adjust the screws in it...but apart from that - sorted!
i stuck a whammy bar on it, and ive never had one of those before, so thats cool too - a whole world on funky new noises!

Jun 05, 2003 08:39 pm Hey, my Ibanez RG540 is called Frankenstien. Its even got a little picture of a cartoon Frankenstien on the head stock. Its made up of several differant guitars. Its got a Jackson neck thats been chopped and scalloped, DaMarzio Evolutions in the neck and bridge and a DaMarzio Fast Track II in the middle. All the pickups are set up with 3 way switches to use the coil taps on the pickups so I can have full on humbuckers, single coil, or parrallel configurations. And it has only one knob for volume to contro the whole thing. The paint is a clear metalic blue on black with a swirled blue on white pick gaurd. If I find a good pic of it Ill post it for ya.

Jun 06, 2003 09:42 am My main strat that I use with No One's Hero is a Frankenstein of sorts. It's made up of at least 5 different guitars. I took out the one tone knob to put in a cut switch when I was in my Tom Morello phase, which caused the other tone knob not to work. The bridge pickup doesn't work, the strap buttons are held in with 3" deck screws, and the body is covered in various colors of electrical tape. Hooha!
