I posted this in the other forum but i thought i'd ask everyone this. Is there anyone that has a decent bit of know how with video editing . I've been doing a bit of filming over here in Iraq and when i get back would like to make something nice for the rest of the team and anyone else that wanted to know what it's really like to go to a place like this .

Vegas is pretty nice, for peeps on budgets, Pinnacle Studio is also a pretty cool package...

But then there are guys like tonyd that use Movie Maker that comes with Windows XP (and ME I think) and does pretty darn well with it.

ooooh! You're going to need some music for that!

I'm sure db will be able to give you some good info. I know he does a fair amount of video editting. I do some as well, but I do it on a Mac (one of the few things I use my mac for).

i like adobe premiere, it's like a low budget version of avid, the tv editing hardware/software, it allows for green/blue screen, alpha matt, the lot.

i've made quite a numbe rof projects both professional and personal with it.

hang around the www.visionengine.com forums... they're really helpful...about like a video version of HRC :)

They're probably going to suggest Adobe Premiere (~$500) or for really low budget video Pinnicle (~100).

I was going to do the same thing on my deployment :)

dB, I added it and created a Video catagory for any more that come our way. I seem to recall a few others over the years.
