Killer Home Recording - worth it?

Hi,
Has anyone used Killer Home Recording (www.recordingreview.com/killerhomerecording/ )?

I wonder if it's worth the money the guy is asking for it.

I really can't make up my mind.

*needs to get back to writing his "guides" one of these days* :P

Anyway, as far as books go, I do have a couple, but I didn't really use them to teach myself. I use them more to refine some of my techniques and more as references to look stuff up.

Check out the guides here on HRC, check out Massive's blog over at Massive Mastering, I've got a couple "rule of thumb guides" up on my site, (and I've got a couple others planned)

www.massivemastering.com/...ry-articles.php

www.bytemixsound.net/info (I'll get around to updating my stuff one of these days, I promise!)

And I'm sure other folks around here have guides and tips and such as well. There's also a wealth of info just reading through the forums in the recording, mixing and mastering subforums.

I've picked up some useful mixing tips from a mixing DVD series based on Protools. Multi Platinum DVD I think was the brand? John Merchant is a featured mixer and he has some really great workflow ideas. If you do purchase a training resource, you'll benefit greatly from getting one specific to your DAW. They all have little tricks and I'd hate to have missed out on the PT stuff if I were using Cubase or Sonar; I would have felt ripped off I watched that and was a Sonar/Cubase user

That seems like a lot of books. They couldn't compile all that stuff in 1 or 2 books? I came real close to buying "home recording for dummies" and still might, but its 1 book and not real expensive.

I've given up on books, I have Google. Books these days are outdated before they even hit the shelves, and they cost money.
