wanna lpay a drum part on one of my songs? basically, ive found a drum loop but i dont know if its copyright or not - so rather than risk it, i was hoping someone out there might fancy rerecording it and thus featuring on my album?

im hoping to get loads of people off here involved in the record im doing....so even if youre not a drummer, the let me know and ill try and think of something we can collaborate on!

anyways, the drum sample is in my hrc pro music bit if ya wanna have a listen - anyone wanna give it a try?

looking forward to it!

eh, back a few years when I was performing a lot and playing daily I was pretty good I guess, that's what everyone told me anyway. Over the years my focus has shifted to production and engineering and I have probably lost a step or two in the fingers, but I have gained a step or two in the head...it's a wash I guess...

Allright, Im in for whatever you would like. I guess with my arsenal maybe I should contribute synth stuff. Name your poisen, or texture, or if youd prefer, I can twist some synth lines into complete oblivian for ya. Im always game for tweaking.

Yep, either send mp3 or single wav files. I am on a fast connection so I transfer large multi track files back and forth all the time with customers.

flame, is MSN the only messenger you're using? I know you're on dial up, but that's fine with me, we could set up the transfer and leave it go for hours if needed. I usually use AIM for this, but I do have MSN.. somewhere on here.

i don't want to change the subject, but what is the best file transfer app like that? I'm interrested in speed and how common it is (ie how many people have it?). Does Trillian do that?

with trillian you can communicate with yahoo, hotmail (msn), aim, icq and a load of other people - so its pretty universal. dunno about anything else though...

Yep jamie, you can do tranfers in Trillion. I am on it and remember you transfered that piano piece to me over it.

that's a great sounding break. It'd make a good jungle beat at like twice the tempo.

Never mind, I got it at 116 BPM. Now to just amtch the drum sounds. Or did you want something differant? I can also save you the midi file in case you want to pick your own drum sounds in Fruity or something.

havent got fruity...so dont bother with the midi! ummm...as long as the sounds are something similar im not too worried - not being a drummer means i might not notice much anyway unless it sounds like a cat sneezing or something!

cheers noize...apreciate your help on this!

flame, don't you use cubase? i;ve never used it, but i thought cubase supported VSTi and therefor MIDI. i would think a VSTi sampler could trigger the wav file.

or am i thinking of someone else?

i did use cubase but now im just using intuitive cos its less strain on my (already at-breaking-point) system!

flame , it's day to day man . I have to say though it isn't too bad , it's hot and the sand storms are less disirable but it's not too shabby , it gets better each week . I'm not say it's plush or anything , but the living conditions are improving . Now if my RAF buddies bring back beer , that will be nice .
