Hello wassup Ya'll
I use cool edit pro for recording my music - I have a good studio quality mic ... Current audio drivers are SoundMAX which are updated as per date !
Problem :
I put the beat on Track 1 , and arm Track 2 for record ... Mic is like miles away from my headphones but still while recording A part of beat also records on Track 2 .... I can hear it even If I solo :( ....... Resulting into a robotic voice after execution of Noise Reduction :(
_________
Help Someone , Much Appreciated :)

Mar 23, 2010 10:22 pm And your interface is....... (?)
Sounds like you're routing your playback back to your input.
Mar 24, 2010 10:30 am I use a built in sound card - nothing studio related except a condenser mic .... My audio drivers are updated ...
Mar 24, 2010 10:35 am Yep, it's all routing mistakes, which a cheap, integrated card may have limited options to avoid...
SoundMax is one of the cheaper integrated chips...so there are limited controls...if you open your volume control (double click the speaker down by the clock) and open the properties, you could try disabling everything in the "record" input option except the line in...that may help...
So, is SoundMax running as WDM drivers within Cool Edit? Perhaps try ASIO4ALL drivers and see if it gives you more control.
Mar 24, 2010 11:00 am DB im totally new to this record and all this :(
where should I start ... I mean I wont buy a whole studio all of a sudden - which is the first and must get !
Mar 24, 2010 11:05 am personally, I think it'd be in your best interest to buy a USB audio interface of some sort that is made for recording, doesn't have to cost a lot...just something meant for recording. Even something like www.zzounds.com...item--BEHUCA222 would be a step up.
Mar 24, 2010 11:23 am Yeah I'll try to pick one asap ... And what about ASIO4ALL ... Ive installed it ! How to mount it on cool edit cause the ReadMe file with it has a winamp tutorial ...
Mar 24, 2010 11:25 am I am not familiar with Cool Edit, but there has to be some "audio options" in there someplace that you'll simply choose "ASIO" drivers...
